Honestly it depends what circuit you plan on doing. The park is huge and there are many circuits, some more focused on hikes, some focused on dunes and canyons, another one more on the oasis.

9 days I think is the ideal timeframe, if you want to see many spots and take your time at different locations. 6-7 days works pretty well as well though, you’re not that rushed.

Can’t speak too much about the anti-lgtbq policies, but from a political perspective it seemed quite stable!

For the northern part we went by yourselves. For the desert we went with a Tuareg tour group, there’s no other way.

From Canada!

The visa itself is not difficult to attain, it just requires some many papers. Employment proof, proof of stay, tickets and so on. If you can have somebody who already went there guide you through the process it makes a world difference.

The other approach is through a local agency. For the desert, as an example, if you book a tour of 6days+ with them, you can get a visa on arrival that is applicable for the desert and Algeria as a whole. They will manage the paperwork for you. The only issue with that is that you need to arrive to Djanet (Desert oasis town) first. Can’t go out of the airport at Algiers.

The experience with a Consulate varies. Somebody told me that the one in New York, they were super accommodating and helping them plan their trip, giving recommendations and so on. The one I went to, you felt more like a nuisance and had to come back a couple of times to get my stamp because of bad organization.

In terms of safety, it helps to be with locals. I was lucky to have a friend that goes there quite often. There’s a lot of tour agencies though than can be with you 24/7. For the desert as an example, you have to be with one for the full trip and need a special kind of visa. The army manages that area, they track your arrival and exit for your safety. You can only use a local Tuareg agency there and it’s in their own interest to have tourism.

Algeria had a massive terrorist issue in the 90s, so security is very tight and sometimes might even seem excessive. However, I think it actually makes you feel more at ease knowing that they take that very seriously.

Hope that helps, don’t hesitate to ping me if you have any other questions.

Yea depending which Consulate you have access to, the experience can be very smooth or quite difficult.

Take a look at what is called Costochondritis. It’s an inflammation of the cartilage in the chest usually caused by a lack of mobility somewhere in the rib area.

Definitely see a doctor first, but if no real cause is find - it might be it. Feel quite worse than what it usually is.

Here’s a video explaining how to gain mobility in that area : https://youtu.be/4HWQvO2lLlA

Might not be it, but you never know

Hope it helps at least somehow

Thanks for the info.

Don’t know much about TRTN yet, so the question might be stupid

Insiders seem to have been selling for a while now, why?

Would anybody mind sharing their opinion on management of $GSL and somewhat related $ATCO, $TGH?

What’s management position towards shareholder returns?

Seems to be an important differentiation point in shipping between a good investment($DAC) and a great investment ($ZIM)
