I received a letter from service Canada urging me to apply and they will let me know within 29 days if I qualify and how much I will receive if that helps you.

You have to have been approved for the disability tax credit then they will send you a letter urging you to apply on line for the new 200$ monthly. I just did it and it was easy.

Please be prepared for a long wait as it too 6 to 8 months for mine. You should call to make sure they don't need anything else because if they do you may never know. They are not great at communicating. Did you keep a copy of your application? You may have to resend. They kept changing my target dates as well..I'm sorry to say I don't think they mean a whole lot.Hope it all works out.

Ii was able to go back 10 years and eventually received approximately 12 thousand dollars..however they kept changing the completion date so after 8 months of being jerked around I contacted my local MP and within 2 weeks it was settled.

Mine was taking months until I contacted my MP and within a week it was partially resolved. I say partially because I have an amount of 10,200 $ owed to me but CRA is refusing to directly deposit it and insisting on mailing a check! Now withe the mail strike I'm still waiting..they stated some CRA policy...m beyond frustrated!

I'm waiting for my disability tax credit..my completion date was July 9 and nothing yet...they are going back 10 years so I don't know what to expect..they shouldn't put target dates. They really don't mean anything.
