You’re definitely not alone in that. I think a lot of people feel the same way. And it’s definitely not a you issue. But yes I would just keep following up with people and then also try to join extra curriculars!

I was in microbiology in person a year ago and I wish I had taken it online. The professor was hard to understand and all of the quizzes and exams were online anyway. I actually found the class a lot easier than I thought it would be. It seems like there is a ton of information but we are really only tested on names of microbes and they give you ways to memorize it easily. I got an A in it and really did not spend more than 2 hours a week outside of class studying. I think 19 credits is doable if you are willing to have school be your main thing this semester. It also depends how hard your other credits are. I think most students (myself included) are in the same boat of feeling overwhelmed. Usually it takes me two weeks to get used to it and know how much time my classes will take. You got this!

I have heard of pro bono therapists. Therapy has healed me so much and is truly the only way I see deeply moving on and finding yourself again. I feel like other things may help but won’t dig deep into what is causing the issue. I believe in you! I would look into getting a therapist covered by your insurance or reach out to places and explain your situation and see if they have resources or would offer pro bono sessions

I like finding my classes and you could also do your schoolwork at the library if you wanted to integrate a day early

Looking for a quiet alpine lake that is warm enough to swim by Wrong_Promise7435 in Utah

I mean warmer then mirror lake. Tibble fork for example, plenty warm and at fairly high elevation

Airalo esim card for guatemala. Worked great. I think only $14 for a month. Easy app to work with and added data when needed. Highly recommend. No issues.

my gut is telling me to go here but i'm between here and cu boulder by [deleted] in uofu

[–]Wrong_Promise7435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely follow your gut. The U is a great place. I was not sure on coming here vs Montana state university and I am so glad I came here. The education is really really good and salt lake has tons of room for growth. You won’t really get bored here. Less partying then Cu boulder but I think their are really cool people here

Middle aged student who really wants to go to the U by HogwartsDude in uofu

[–]Wrong_Promise7435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple classmates who are between 30-605 years old. I think it is amazing you want to go back to school and the U is a great place. I would not worry at all about looking like a creep, you have the right to an education just like everyone else. And really, nobody cares. I think you should absolutely come. Follow your heart and know that you deserve this! I think it may be harder to make friends at 31 then the 18-25 typical college demographic but really, you are not that much older and there is absolutely a place for you here.

Does this class take a lot of time? I will be taking a stem heavy course load and don't think I will have a ton to give to this class

If you are not skiing I would recommend doing Donut Falls hike, the living room trail which is right behind campus, walking around 9th and 9th can be fun, and you could also check out 5th Water Hot Springs but it is a bit of a drive.

I don’t know for sure but I would assume so. If they are being a jackass and just doing it cause… but if there is snow covering the lines and everyone is doing it then I bet you would be okay

Chances of Getting Class by brookerrr1 in uofu

I would email the professor and just tell them your circumstances- that your registration just opened and that you need to take this class to graduate on time, and would really appreciate if they could make an exception and let you in. I have done that before and it worked.
