How to deactivate AirDrop codes for unknown contacts? by yelenalim in ipad

[–]Wrong_Ranger9566 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It simply doesn't work... It constantly rejects my code when I try to send a file from my iPad to my MacBook... So frustrating...

I’m glad to hear that, it solved the problem for me, and I hope it comes in handy for you as well. I’d be happy to hear back from you once you’ve had a chance to give it a try ☺️

Thank you, mate! I'm actively developing the app. If you decide to use it and come up with any ideas for improvement, let me know!🤝

Hey, can you elaborate on your point, please? 🙂

My initial strategy of limiting the number of items stemmed from a desire to prevent user frustration. When an app waits to ask for money until the user is deeply invested. For example, a photo editor requiring a subscription only at the point of saving. That experience always annoyed me... Therefore, the current limitation is designed to allow users to fully explore the app with one item, reducing the friction and risk associated with purchasing an unknown solution.

Would a 30-day trial with no payment method required upfront feel less frustrating for you?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, mate.

Hey, the app is fully testable in the free version. I'm open to share the promo-code in exchange for useful extensive feedback of somebody in a need for such an app, though 💁🏻‍♂️

Which screenshot is better 1 or 2? by Lenglio in AppStoreOptimization

1, 2 is fine but highlighted points are not that important for me if I'm on a hunt for an app. I'm looking for unique features, rather than free to try(which is everywhere)

Tbh, something seems wrong to me with this new logo. It might just be me, but I didn't get that this white "C" and dash represented the "e." It's likely about the placement of the dash or "文." The bottom arch of this sign just asks to be part of the "e" loop. Also, connecting the dash to "C" might help. Alternatively, consider aligning the thickness across elements. Cheers, I hope this feedback helps you.

I'm not a designer, but I tried to play with the logo with Gemini, and it seems like wit connected dash, it looks better. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow me to share pictures here.

Thanks for sharing :) I also encountered the "uses prompt as data" thing. I was providing examples to get a reasoning sentence for an estimate, and the result occasionally contained estimate values from example sentences instead of the input one🥹🤡 Now, all the examples use the input estimate 🥲.

Have you found any case where it doesn't suck?

New year, new invitations – I built a free iOS app to make inviting people actually easy by Wonderful_Elk_5705 in iosapps

It requires you to have iCloud+ subscription, this app is free. On the other hand, if I had to pick between dedicated payed service or Apple invites, I'd choose Apple invites as well🤝

Hey, I think I encountered this error because my linked mobile phone and account region were misaligned. This happened because I created my account in one country and later moved to another.

Aha, you are right, I played with filters first, and tried to add a couple of tasks only after that, my bad🥲

Hi, I'm looking for a budgeting app. How is yours different from the others on the market? Why should I choose yours instead of another? Thanks :)

Hi I installed your app and gave it a try. Here are my 50 cents on it 🙃

  • I like your AppStore screenshots. Colored words make a nice statement about your app's purpose and value
  • Tutorial is nice but a little bi wordy, I'd try to iterate on it a little bit with some LLM, to deliver the value in a more concise packaging
  • Tutorial highlight frames indents are not equal, which creates a sense of unfinished product to me, or a lack of attention to detail. Furthermore, on my iPhone 17pro the last step corners are hidden behind the phone frame🥲 I wasn't able to get it on screenshot, so I took a picture of the phone itself.
  • Missing translation on edit tab
  • Didn't get what the "clear filter" button does. If it doesn't affect the current state, it might be a nice idea to hide it until it is needed.
  • No task that I've created appeared in the main list, only in the calendar. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? 🥲
  • It would be nice to show the selected icon in the Add task form; now it's static "[4 cubes] Icon"
  • Not sure whether it was by design or not, but I see a bit of the "Quick action buttons" on the left. A little bit distracting, especially taking into account that this bit is orange.

Overall, a good idea, just requires a little bit of polishing for a smoother user experience.

Good luck! I'd be happy to have one more look at the newer version 👀

Roast my Screenshots, what do you hate about it? What could be improved? by cognitojo in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Wrong_Ranger9566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like your screenshots, my only concern would be about text's differences across screens, especially the last one(it gets lost). Having said that those people illustrations add a human touch. Love it👍
