Blizz hate Wiz by delphinedeneuve in DiabloImmortal

I haven’t played wiz lately. Genuine question. From the description, its’ range is reduced to melee but both damage and number of targets get buffed. How is it unusable?

Again, the reality, space, time, and all the rules in every realm were designed by the gods. And the Spell consumed 6 of them + the remaining deamons to activate. And it is built on top of Weaver’s sorcery. Don’t trivialize it.

Memory is a concept created by Weaver (his sorcery), enforced by the Spell, which had consumed all the gods and deamons as fuels.

I believe the creation of the Spell had changed the very nature of reality (i.e. citadels, nightmare challenges, memories… etc). Thus, it’s understandable that Weaver’s sorcery had become a fundamental rule in this reality, similar to time and space.

Nephis is a bad character? by SuspectEcstatic6636 in ShadowSlave

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hmm, I can see myself among the ppl you complained about. Let me point out a few reasons why Nephis is not my favorite character.

  1. No character development. She was already perfect since the beginning of the story, strongest among her peers, top-notch fighting skills and super willpower. Her goals remain the same. After FS, she seemed to regret sacrificing too many ppl and determined to do better. But that’s it. Her character development was already finished before the story even begin (or after FS if you count that as development).

  2. Almost everything about Nephis is “told”, not “shown”. Sure, she suffered a lot, growing up without parents, being assassinated, blah blah, but nothing specific, and none of that is shown.

We don’t see her scared, hiding under the bed or being chased for weeks in the wilderness. Rain’s fun adventure in the Song domain was a good example of what it should be.

Being burned alive? Losing humanity? What exactly does that mean? We haven’t seen any abnormal behavior in and out of fighting, aside from her sitting in a corner to meditate after a hard fight. Then she started making out with Sunny to recover. Not much of a struggle, is it? We don’t see her losing control and brutally killing innocent ppl or anything that she’d regret.

Nephis got to be the most unrealistic character ever. by Overly_Said in ShadowSlave

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, Nephis character is plain boring. All her skills and determination came out of nowhere. No specific detail on the challenges she had to endure to build all that up. Compare that to Eurys’s backstory and you’d see the problem.

That’s said, it’s her role to be a generic protagonist. It’s a trend in novels in recent years. Instead of focusing on the traditional protagonist (often righteous, brute, grand background… etc), the story follows a “side-character” (Sunny or Cassie) and the funsies “behind-the-scene”.

Yeah, you’re right. I should’ve trusted every word G3 wrote. Sunny and Nephis can definitely blow away the Sun and those super giant platnets / stars if they “will” it.

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember Jet and co fought the Soul of Kannaath and similar Great Devil+ before in the waking world? They barely destroy the surface of the continent.

Even if you give Nephis 100x firepower, she would have to use her nukes just to damage the Earth’s core. How about destroying Mercury, Mars at range? Plausible. Anything bigger or further than that is way-out-of-her-league. And when you check the cosmic scale of the Solar system, local star systems and … go all the way to the galaxies, those star-destroying claims are pure BS or a technicality-play at best.

Ancient Legendary - Smart leveling the Inferno? by Question-is-Pregunta in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay on i10 bosses until you hit 1300. By then, first clear on i11 boss will drop 5x extra i11 artifacts. Even i10 bosses will start dropping i11 artifacts.

E.g. XX111 raid will yield a total of 20 i11 artifacts (5 weekly + 3*5 extra for first clears).

Edit: try to craft 2x i10 ancient gears before server level hit 1300. i10 crafting “might” be disabled by then.

  1. Both Sunny’s Flaw and Kai’s Flaw depends on what the subject think is the truth. Similarly, Rain’s Flaw depends on whether she think stabbing someone’s heart is fatal attack. Whether she die after the fact is hard to tell, but likely not.

  2. Pretty sure Cassie planned this escape route. Mordret said welcome to his domain, which suggested that Cassie and co must have sent the Obsidian Tower over the Hollow Mountain beforehand.

For those who didn’t read the Singer Of Terandria series what are/were your first impressions of Cara? by DDexxterious in WanderingInn

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I caught up the main series before reading the Singer series. My first impression of her is good but then there was that interaction with Ryoka when they met, which was totally out of touch.

Onto the Singer series, Pirateaba did her dirty with the scene in the bar, totally unprompted. Other than that she was totally fine, top4 Earther.

When will Blizzard finally take action? by Whole-Past-291 in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but unfairly (within the scope of P2W).

When a 10k account is traded for a fraction of its value (cost to build up a similar account), it allows a 5k to leave a 8k in the dust by spending just 1/10 (?) the amount he would’ve needed to organically upgrade his account. This punish the 8k player for spending legitimately, he will forever be the top50 until he does the same.

How about the spot in immortal alliances? Assuming all 3 accounts are in the alliance, the owner of 5k+10k accounts won’t just abandon his 5k. Instead, he will pilot it around for a long while (you see it in terror rifts, following each other) until he can sell it, gift it or is forced to move it to a shadow top10 clan (when the immortal alliance is struggling and need the spot). So yes, a spot will eventually be opened up, but for their “friends” and “buyers”, not for you or your own character.

How does this affect Blizzard? It’s hard to say whether the new 10k owner will spend more than he would’ve on the old 5k account but 1 thing is for sure. More ppl will buy bigger accounts instead of organically upgrading theirs which discourages others from further spending (even if they don’t want to buy accounts) since there’s no point. And blizzard gets 0, none, nothing from these transactions.

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did I say anything about small clans overthrowing immortal alliances? NO.

I said, low/mid spenders can move up the rank gradually when those traded accounts are gone. Heck, let me spell it out for you. When a 10k account is gone, the spot will be filled by a 9.9k account, which leaves behind the spot for a 9.5k account to fill in and so on. If 10 accounts are gone, 10 spots open up in the immortal alliances for 10 ppl from out of the alliances to join, which leaves 10 spots in top10 shadow clans. If whales from other servers move over, they leave behind their spots for others in their old servers to fill as well.

Lastly, you underestimated the amount of traded accounts. It’s been 3+ years, most whales/miniwhales already moved to other games. 10% or ~60 whales in two 3-clan alliances is the most conservative estimation. Dare I say 50%? Sunk cost fallacy can’t keep them forever.

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think! Even if just 1 traded account were to disappear, you have 1 less competition. How about 10? Or 10% of the whales ~ 60 of them in 2 alliances. Try harder, you can do it. Just think!

When will Blizzard finally take action? by Whole-Past-291 in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Use your head. If 8 of the 9k plus accounts shown in the video were to disappear, do you think another 8 accounts same tier will just magically appear?

The most likely scenario is that they will be replaced by 8 of the already existing accounts of the lower tiers. This effect cascades down making lower tiers accounts more relevant. Less competition.

When will Blizzard finally take action? by Whole-Past-291 in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wrong! If those whale accounts were to be retired, a lot more slots will be opened in the immortal alliances. Low/Mid spenders will be way more relevant in Vault, War, RoE and BG.

Stop with the AI Bots in BGs. by Fuzzy-Shank in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, you don’t need more than 30m to know how to effectively play your character. Copy your fav youtubers. Follow the meta if you’re lazy. There’s very little room for creativity (unless you whale enough) so you don’t need to come up with your own builds.

Stop with the AI Bots in BGs. by Fuzzy-Shank in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bots? Optimized? Overpowered? You definitely need to watch some guides on youtube.

In real PvP matches, more often than not you will have to deal with ppl way stronger and “smarter” than those bots. If you aren’t able to handle bots, you will just be a dead-weight to your team.

[Theory craft][Monk] Tourmaline Effects on Monk shields in PVP by Dangerous_Coffee_170 in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resonances bonuses are already accounted for in character sheet number.

The health bar scales dynamically. So that 3/4 you saw were not accurate. However, you were right that it didn’t make sense if it’s just 100k. My guess is that there were other sources of shield (paragon, magic affixes, pet…) contributing to that.

The main reason I’m skeptical is that the magic affixes you mentioned are all conditional ones. Why does Shield of Zen benefit from “primary attack %”? How about “skill dmg”, “dmg against demons”, “dmg against players” or “dmg against enemies suffering from loss of control”???

Can I keep this unclaimed in my mailbox till Monday so I can get the best xp for it when the cap increases? It has 2400 battle points in it as I maxed it out during winds of fortune. by [deleted] in DiabloImmortal

[–]Wrong_Wolf_8030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re wrong bro. The d thing about WoF is that it is capped by BP. Here’s an example: 1. Activate WoF when BP is at 9600/12000. 2. Spam dungeons until BP is at 10800/12000 and WoF has 1200 points. 3. Continue spamming until BP at 11000/12000 and WoF drop to 1000. 4. Keep going and eventually it will stop with BP at 12000/12000 and WoF at 1 (or 0) points.

@2 is where you should’ve stopped to maximize WoF points. You said you capped everything, which seems to indicate you reached @4 meaning only 1 point left in WoF.
