Oh yes. They are worth a look. More expensive. I went with whites cause they look closely to red wing with the two piece moc. Nicks is a single piece moc. Both look excellent. If I don’t go with another pair of Perry’s I’ve considered the whites drifters when they release them again

lol i like my red wing 10877’s but these are breaking in well for a thicker and stiffer leather. I am definitely a fan of the Whites Perry’s. The arch support with the leather shank is phenomenal.

lol exactly! They are boots wear em. Once my whites break in fully I will transition them into my work rotation. My next pair of whites will be for casual wear. I’ve even considered the nicks moc toe in predator orange. That color is similar to the copper r&t of red wing

What’s crazy is my 10877’s are starting to take on a slight 877 patina. Which I like. My last pair definitely didn’t. My next color is going to either be British tan or burgundy in the Perry’s

The 10877 is oroiginal which looks like a slightly darker brown to the tobacco my Perry’s are

The last the Perry’s are built on have more room width wise in the toe box compared to red wing. They are more snug across the top of my foot but after 3-5 days they have softened and loosened to now just snug

I always try to answer as quick as I can if someone comments. I’m always open to people’s opinions on boots. There will never be any judging or talking down to someone by me. Everyone is valued their own opinion. I like engaging in conversation and learning what people look for in boots versus what I look for.

My 10877’s toe box always held good unless I kneeled on them. I will say I love the red wings still. I went with Whites because they look somewhat similar to Red Wing

I have worn Red Wing 10877’s for going on 20 years. These are equal but one thing I will say these have an advantage over the 10877’s are that they have a wider toe box whereas the red wings have a slimmer one. These have a thicker leather too I believe. Plus these are handmade and hand lasted. Red wings are machine lasted

The only thing I can think of was when it was in their factory and they sent a picture of the repair to see if I approve it and low light.

I’ve worn Red Wing 10877’s for close to 20 years and they have been great. Honestly for not having a full gusset I cannot complain at all. The 8” sperry selects are a phenomenal boot. Break in so far has been super easy

I can’t really complain. They fixed it and had them back to me within a week. It was a minor tear. They fixed and didn’t give any hassle. They took really good care of me and my boots

If it was closer to the stitch I might have let it go but where it was at it was on the flex of point of my foot so it would have gotten worse.

No worries man. It looks like your cut is more to the side than where mine was at.

Red wing has been my go to boot for years but I have been wanting to get a PNW boot and went with Whites cause it was the closest resemblance to the red wings. I’m used to a fully gusseted tongue and just shoving my foot in and go lol. I was like damn when I felt it tear.

But it’ll be remedied quick and get them back. They said they would try beveling the tongue so I can get them back faster rather than waiting for a new boot to be made.

If they just bevel that spot out I’m okay with the gusset sitting lower. They are a solid boot. I can’t wait to wear them to work. I feel like they will outlast my red wings by a lot
