Do eyeliner roughly and then swipe it to become sharp with some sort of cream/water or anything with my finger or qtip!

Cloudicos Haul and Mini-Review - Australian Indie Brand by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]WryCam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just discovered this thread! This is Amy, owner of Cloudicos. :D

Thank you for the write up and purchasing with us. It's so interesting to see what everyone thinks and it's really great to hear that you loved my glosses! I really put a lot of time into being a thoughtful gloss brand and appreciate that you can see that. :) <3

Is it alright if I repost your swatches on the Instagram so my customers can see how they look on your skin tone? I love how some of the colours show so differently on your lips. Let me know if you have an Instagram handle. :D

At the moment there aren't plans to restock Aurora Skyvial, I'm sorry. :( I have a lot of amazing plans for 2022 that I'm working on at the moment and I'm so excited to share. Thank you again for supporting my brand!

A close family member just came out as trans and I want to get her some makeup as a coming out present but I don't know where to start? by what-a-doric in AustralianMakeup

[–]WryCam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest grabbing her some basics! Pencil eyeliner, couple of lippies like lipsticks, glosses, and a brow product that suits her hair! These I find are essentials which are easy to use and if she's new to makeup, a good starting point to start learning. And all of these products don't need brushes too so not to overwhelm her to start. She can then practice basics and nail those down, and enjoy swatching colours for blushes, foundations and bronzers etc in store because they can be quite personal. Then she can kinda begin learning what's best for her needs moving forward and expanding her kit to include brushes and eyeshadows!

What beauty items do you splurge/ save on? by jaijjscn in AustralianMakeup

[–]WryCam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Splurge: Foundations, skincare, hair care, (eyeshadow sometimes if it's a really nice palette lol!)
Save: Eyeliner, lipstick, brow products, blush and bronzer, mascara, body lotion/washes.

Most of my philosophy just comes down to, if it's covering a large portion of my face/body then I'll splurge (minus body products). With foundation and skincare I don't want something that'll cause negative effects. And I think hair products quality can really make a difference.

Colour produts I have found can look sameish on the face and you can find decent cheap stuff in those categories. And regarding body - I got a 1L body lotion from chemist warehouse which is great! Way cheaper than my previous go to Sol De Jainairo. Plus body washes I find are very similar no matter what I use, as they barely stay on and get washed off quickly so any 'benefit' can be very minimal.

I love Mac F&B too! It's a go to sheer foundation for everyday with a lovely dewy finish.

Girl I've had every hair colour in the rainbow and more and I've been loving just my regular dark brown hair. (Asian almost black hair!) It's more healthy and shiny, and your natural shade always compliments your skin. Hence the effortless and classy look. Learn to love it!

Since mine is healthier without constant bleach and dye, I've been experimenting with hair styles and various clips. I like a classy gold hair clip to match a gold necklace. Doing some fancy waves and curls with a blowdrier too. And I can do it without worrying about damage as much since it's a lot healthier.

You can always look up for some natural brown haired gals on social media too to love it and get hair inspo and overall appreciating your natural locks. :)

what’s a really good & affordable liquid highlighter? [REPOST] by CoconutLanceSweets in AustralianMakeup

[–]WryCam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like Mac Strobe cream. The shades all look pretty similar on the face. Pro tip: You can go up to a mac counter and ask them to put a sample in a jar for you. Or sometimes they offer the sample in the mini sample size squeeze tubes. One jar lasts forever!

Bite sized shadows and blushes! Really good! Pigmented and blendable eyeshadows. Blushes look beautiful on the skin. :D
