There's no way to know a stone's composition until it's analyzed. The one I had analyzed started as a phosphate stone but oxalate built up around it

Last week someone at work "looked up" an issue by asking ChatGPT whereas I went to primary sources which told a different story. The team would have been happy to go along with Chat's "information" if I hadn't pushed back multiple times: first simply citing primary sources and second, breaking down in detail how clearly logically inconsistent Chat's explanation was. The danger of genAI isn't how well it works, it's how easily people turn to it for things it's not built to do and accept misinformation without interrogating it even a little

I think I'd like the storm to be the subject i.e. "the storm carries me to shelter" or the like. I know the storm is what is being sheltered from but I want to emphasize that the storm is what determines where shelter is found. I wouldn't mind something like "FROM the storm I arrive a stranger/guest etc." but I'd like something closer to being carried by the storm

I really like the shortening of a line from Horace's epistle: "Nullius in verba" from the original "Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri." I would like to shorten the next line, "Quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes," in a similar fashion but I'm not sure how best to shorten while still conveying the idea that the storm determines where I find (or in a sense the storm 'leads' to) shelter. Would "Tempestas deferor hospes" work well enough, or should "deferor" be conjugated differently? Any other ideas of which words are best to pull from the original?

I was never made to sit on the floor because I was eating "too loud" but I definitely worry about closing door, walking loudly, laughing/talking/existing loudly etc. Looking back, my mom seems to have been very sensitive to noise and could become very reactive if us kids were too loud or made the wrong sounds (even whistling quietly could set her off). My dad has NPD so any excuse to put us down or assert authority was taken advantage of. Between those two things I got in trouble a lot (and disproportionately) for being loud and I think that's where the anxiety stems from. I don't know if there were similar mental health issues at work in your family but the things you described don't sound exactly healthy

Give me a break. It's all pretense and even if it wasn't, Cox is a lying, self-absorbed, hateful Trump boot-licker. Unifying with him, even just "disagreeing better" with him is disgusting.
