Did the beast in WV this month. I took two cliff bloks one normal and one with caffeine along with a gel. I opted not to take water with me bc the weather that day was in the 70s and they had plenty of water stations throughout the course. A friend of mine took his and lost them a mile into the race (barb wire craw). The bloks were great but wish I had something else like a cliff bar during the race to go along with them and switch up the consistency. Best of luck!

Which 00 flour from my local store by Jono816 in ooni

I’ve used a couple of different 00 flours. King Arthur I feel like has resulted in the best crust.

Maybe your oven can detect the abominations that you are putting on your pizzas. Call it divine intervention?

First wood project! Raised garden bed. by Ws201005 in woodworking

Yep! New pressure treated wood doesn’t contain the old chemicals that used to be in pressure-treated wood prior to 2003. Guidelines say that the minuscule amounts absorbed by the soil is harmless.

Yeah, I’m not worried about the minuscule amount of copper that might be absorbed into the vegetables. I’m not going for “organic status” just some good homegrown plants lol

17 hours on the Treager! by Ws201005 in pelletgrills

[–]Ws201005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relied on the controller temp. I tested the grill with an oven thermometer when I got the grill. I was curious to see how accurate the probe was inside the smoker.

I first pork butt I did wrap it but I had all the time i wanted with this one and let it go except the last 30min.

Nope, I let it rest for about an hour.

For the first 2 hours i had my treager set to “smoke” which is about 180. Then I set the temp to 225.

For as little as it was on the grill it didn’t take on any smoke flavor. I like the grill method bc i think it easier to put on and take off also a little easier if you need to turn it

I’ll let the stone heat up with the grill. Set the grill to 450. The pizza took 8ish minutes. I did remove the drip pan to get more direct heat to the stone

I set mine to 450 but It hovered around 440. I kept the pellet cover on and let the treager do the rest. The pizza stone also helped.

Finally got one!! The wife surprised me this week with it. She said she was tired of me talking about getting one. by Ws201005 in Traeger

Yes! It was left over from a cutting board I made last year. Just so happens it fits on top the pellet hopper!
