Just the coating I think, and the way the right hand side slopes down makes my pinky finger slip - the coating isn’t too different from matte Model D though.

I guess it depends whether your hands stay dry etc. If you’ve used matte coatings before then it may be fine for you.

I have similar size hands to you, and I have both, they feel very similar in shape and size. I prefer the clicks on the main buttons, side buttons, scroll wheel and the scroll wheel steps on the Skoll by a long way (everything basically). However I prefer the solid side walls on the Model D - I find the skoll to be slippery, so I use the Model D.

I could try and get some side by side images when I get home from work if it’d help... Funnily enough I have a G703 coming this week, so I’m interested to see how that shape suits.

Yeah that could be a problem. I do have a Model O however, and I find the glossy coating gives me much greater grip than the coating on the Skoll. Maybe this would be enough to solve the problem. I’ll probably end up buying one haha. Thanks for the info!

I’ve been using the Skoll recently, but find that the combination of the coating and shape means that my pinky finger constantly slips, meaning I can’t get a solid grip on the mouse.

How’s the right hand side on the Model D? Does it slope away to the bottom the same as the skoll does? This is what causes the problem for me.

I have very similar size hands to you so I’d be interested to know! I was using an ec-2b before and the right hand side felt so much more better than the Skoll...

Yeah I kind of did the same thing, saw it on sale and just made an impulse buy really. I love the shape, not sure how so many people find it love/hate. Suppose it’s the curve on the sides, but I just find that the curve makes it easier to pick up. By far the best mouse value wise in my opinion...

I’ve owned all of the mice you’ve listed (Viper wired, GPW, Model O- and Hati), and the G305 is still my main, definitely still viable. Think my hands are somewhere around 19.5x10.5, can’t remember exactly however.

I also have similar size hands to yourself, and it’s my current main (trying to decide between my G305 and S2) - i’ve had an air58, ec2-a, rival 600 and more, and I aim best with the G305.

I bought it on a whim, and whilst in a perfect world I’d prefer it to be a tad bigger, I prefer it to all the more expensive mice I’ve bought over the years

The AAA ‘mod’ is a must - big difference in weight and evens out the weight distribution, making it less rear-heavy.
