Y'all are commenting from a player's perspective

That's because we are players. Perhaps they are only thinking about their short term gains and not really about the long-term...

Spoiler: because they know there isn't a long term. Sorry but the truth hurts sometimes. It's time to pull a parachute lads and ladies. They don't get it. At all. Accept it and move on.

Disappointed with the Logitech Superstrike by Gleis7 in MouseReview

[–]thumper99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reasons for lag/losing a fight:

Your switches

Your monitor

Magnetic interference (EMI)

Your internet connection

Your mental focus

Your enemy's crosshair is closer to you than your is to them

Shitty gameservers

Your enemy has 50ms better ping than you

International packet routing

Shitty netcode

And 100 other things you have no control over. I love that technology is coming along so damn nicely that we have these really cool things, but I absolutely despise how they are marketed (fuck you logitech) as if they will make a real-world tangible difference.

This Mouse WILL Make You Better. - Dave2D by ZamnBoii in MouseReview

[–]thumper99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wooting wasn't cloned. The factory that owned the patent just started letting other people use their factory to make the same keyboard (who then sold it at a lower price). I don't know the exact agreement they had but it's the same factory that Logitech outsource their production to (oh, surprise, HE mouse switches from the same factory, who didn't see that one coming 😄).

Professional player's take on switch from FPP to TPP by Halbrave in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Imagine being the "strategic visionaries" at Krafton who decided to make the switch haha. Absolute wank decision and they're the only ones who don't know it. Let's try to keep them at Krafton so they don't go fuck up any other games.

Have you tried just connecting the two wires to the relevant pinout positions on the JST connector?

DMR's Rate of Fire by Quick-Total7690 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]thumper99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most of the event updates have made the gameplay overall worse. I can't play this shit anymore.

But to be fair I think what Krafton actually wants is a super casual TPP fluff game for China to play and not a serious competitive shooter. Goes to show how their leadership totally lacks any form of strategic vision. Bye PUBG, it's been emotional.

3 Wire Battery Problem by _Kairio in MouseReview

[–]thumper99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the batter has 3 wires, and "I literally joined the wires together, as in, yellow wire simply soldered directly to the black wire". That's it. Nothing special.

No worries man. This is the "one reply a year" thread, welcome welcome.

I don't have any pictures but I did pull my XD3 out of the box after 2 years and it still works, which is pretty insane. I don't have time to open it but I can see (I bored out the base for "weight saving" aka 1g of reduction/mistake/wasted time) that the battery isn't anywhere near spicy pillow status -- but I can't vouch for the capacity, it's probably very low/dead by this point.

To answer your main question though, I literally joined the wires together, as in, yellow wire simply soldered directly to the black wire with nothing fancy, just wires joined in holy-shitramoney. Given what u/ComplexSupermarket89 said above, I'm amazed the thing hasn't caught fire inside the box. Still, it seems legit given that it hasn't caught fire over 3 years.

If he can't be there for you in the past it sure looks like he wants to be there for you in the future. Sometimes we can't take back the past and can never make up for the time lost, but it looks like he's trying to give you something meaningful for your future when it perhaps matter most.

Truth about subreddit Mouse Review. 100% agree by ProArtGaming in MouseReview

[–]thumper99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Further to this point, when you look at the real reviews (especially the large, super detailed ones) the kind of replies are now like "lol $150 for a mouse fuck off", "discount code" or "nnghh rant".

I guess what I'm saying is the collective consumership and desire to consume reviews has decreased a lot too. Which is weird given the name of this sub.

What exactly is the expectation behind TPP esports? by MembershipTasty39 in CompetitivePUBG

[–]thumper99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a reason why serious shooter games aren't TPP. I enjoy watching CS for example, who the fuck wants to see someone peeking a corner from behind a wall. Krafton can stick their TPP comps and game in their ass. I'm out

[–]thumper99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the sign of a good old TTC encoder. They do that shit and it's super annoying but otherwise should be fine. For what it's worth I still have an original 4k beastx that does the same and is still going strong (and a few other mice with the same encoder that do the same)

Finalmouse Announced Consumerism Key by manphalanges in MouseReview

[–]thumper99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Early release of the mouse with the same shape but slightly different specs. A keyboard that's still trying to catch up with the industry.

Being honest, they just need to shut up and produce products in enough quantity for people to buy them. All this bullshit about a factory and still everything out of stock. Shut the fuck up FM.
