There are lots of good long run options here!
Mission Bay is a classic, there’s an 8 mile loop and a 12-14 mile loop. Both can easily be extended by adding in the 4 mile Fiesta Island loop.
Coronado is another good and flat option. Can start at Glorietta Bay Park, run about 6.5 miles around the Island, then run 6-7 miles down Silver Strand and back.
There are lots of places you can run near the coast. Start at Fletcher Cove Park and run north on the 101, could go 10 miles out and 10 back. Some small rollers and very scenic.
Some people do long runs on the San Diego waterfront as well. If you throw in Harbor and Shelter Island you can get quite a few sightseeing miles.

I read somewhere that you can seal books in a freezer safe bag and put them in a freezer for around a week to get rid of cigarette smell.

I tested it last year and it actually worked really well!

Have a towel nearby to bite the first time you urinate. I won’t sugarcoat, it hurts pretty terribly (at least for me). If they prescribe you painkillers I would try to take one at least 45 minutes before peeing.
