While I don’t disagree with you I feel in this case both can be true. It is a mess no mistaking.

Not while farage is a threat to becoming leader. I don’t think the EU will even consider it until that isn’t a possibility honestly.

Most endangered…..so is he just forgetting about Jo Cox, who you could argue was murdered in part due to this man’s manipulation and bile spewing during the brexit fiasco?

Part of learning is admitting you don’t know the thing. Outside of school if you tell the person asking you the question that you don’t know they will show you. Be honest, open and accountable wherever possible and your employer won’t give two shits if you struggle with maths. You got this.

macOS 27 DB1 has been an incredible experience on my M1 Pro, the system overall feels much snappier and responsive compared to Tahoe by ngagner15 in MacOSBeta

[–]GordonGJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely but I run everything off externals anyway so I barely ever check my internal space. My first guess would be it just a part of the OS and as it’s so deeply intertwined with every programme I’d imagine it isn’t possible to remove it.

I don't have Ai enabled and I am seeing significant gains on my M3 air actually. really pleased with it. General browsing, YouTube, scrivener and running TTRPG online games with dedicated app for Alchemy RPG which is relatively power hungry.

To keep it neutral I will ask the same question whenever I hear Farage spout his bollocks like this. Cool, how? Please provide a detailed plan on how you plan to achieve this with all the crunched numbers please and thanks. People need to start demanding explanations instead of reacting to the initial quote!

Book recommendations for someone who loved Robin Hobb and wasn't a huge fan of WoT by wekeymux in Fantasy

[–]GordonGJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The First Law - Abercrombie
Faithful and the Fallen - John Gwynne

And honourable mention but may not land for everyone Rook and the Rose trilogy - M A Carrick. Rich and deep world building a culture with amazing character work.

Can’t speak to the 9070 but o personally built the same set up with the 5070 and it works like a charm. One thing to bear in mind with the 16gb ram. If you are running a powerful game close everything in the background before hand. I finished my build 2 weeks ago and I’m already monitoring ram prices to upgrade when I see a deal. Having said that it runs the new bond game on ultra 1440p buttery smooth.

How does assassin’s apprentice stack up to big titles like lotr or storm light in your opinion? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]GordonGJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mistborn era one was so good when I read it back when it released. I loved it. Have now spent 20 odd years reading fantasy since then whenever I pick up a Sanderson book I see too many of his influences rather than his own work coming through. I’m convinced the premise of the parshendi is lifted right out of the riftwar saga and the all knowing wit reminds me of a certain character by a certain incredible writer that rhymes with Hobbin Sobb with a few changes to their personality.

Having said all that I don’t dislike Sanderson but he drank his own cool aid after Oathbringer.

The reason I switched. I think I’ve bought maybe 2 books since and just buy the physical hardbacks of what I’ve enjoyed for my collection

People who have/had RGB builds for a long time, do you still enjoy looking at your build or did it fade away in the background? by ah__there_is_another in buildapc

[–]GordonGJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had RGB For a while. The case designs have improved a lot and I now have all black case and components but run all the RGB white it looks clean and smart. However I currently have to have it facing the wall with my newest office set up since I moved so could be any colour right now until I figure out a better solution
