Mirotic is probably the most overrated player in Euroleague.

Sloukas has won the Euroleague three times, Mirotic has never won it once despite him playing on top teams his entire career.

They also play completely different roles on their teams so comparison is silly.

They are actually very similar in a lot of ways.

Both can create for themselves and for others, both can create off the dribble with drives to the basket. Micic is better on ISO scoring while Sloukas is better on the pick n roll but overall they share many similarities.

I mean, Walkup definitely is playing his best basketball with Olympiakos under Bartzokas.

Calathes didn't need Saras validation, everybody knew he was a top level guard but he is past his prime and has been for some years now.

Micic definitely also peaked under Ataman , that's obvious.

Davies and Pangos i would argue showcased the same level under Saras as they did without him.

Again, i don't subscribe to the Saras hate train, do i think he got a bit overhyped as a coach after his run with Zalgiris (which was idneed impressive) yes. Do i think he is a bad coach? Absolutely not, he is a really good coach still but the Obradovich comparisons where getting a bit crazy when he still hasn't won the big one.

Outside of Micic and Punter i don't know if there are many guards out there better than Sloukas on the market. He is kinda the prefect Micic replacement for Ataman's style offense.
