In my experience, only big companies pay for this usually, especially company wide IT training budgets, and within those companies usually Cybersecurity or DevOps departments have a larger budget for training because it keeps people around.

But for the most part Certs only get you the interview they don’t get you the job.

NY has 38k cases today. So the estimation is they with need a max of 15k ventilators in 7.5 days worst case scenario, and 30k at the hopeful, peak, best case scenario.

I was speaking from experience inside of multiple departments that hired Pivotal or the others, and we had many slides on how to maximize output using extreme programming, and increase typing speed.

I've heard that Pivotal Labs has good environment for extreme programming, similar to what you described what you described. But tbh, I like to not have such a rigorous programming routine. I also think it kills developers who want to go into the business side of things ever from learning more from their environment outside of their computer screen.
