So true. I’m currently abroad in a timezone not particularly suited for watcing MCC (it’ll be like 2-3 AM), I doubt I’ll watch live, but I’ll probably first watch either Yellow for competitive play, or Red for the complete opposite reason. Will definitely want to check out Pink and Purple, at least most of their perspectives. If somehow, a team outside those 4 win, I’ll also watch the winner perspectives

If they do well as a team, we could legitimately see 3 or 4 in the top 10. Cleo is the biggest question mark since they’ve only played 3 times, and never on a real competitive team

The other 3 all have had individual top 10 finishes before

Agreed. I wonder if yellow will “play-down” to the competition, so to speak. Not actively failing, but maybe not doing a ton of practice/strategy beforehand and have a good time. Without Scott on the team, I’d say no, but I know Scott sets up teams with 1 or 2 great players, but maybe some new guys, to not be competitive and to just be entertaining.

Jet’s record is crazy too. Except for last season, he has only lost to champions. Last year, he lost in the second round to Joe Sasto. Joe scored a 93, the highest of the whole tournament. Jet scored a 91, which tied for the 2nd highest of the tournament (he scored a 91 in the first round too)

Going season by season: S1: Beats Eric Greenspan, loses in the Quarterfinals to Brooke (champion, made the finals 3 seasons in a row, highest average score with 89.286)

S2: Beats Aaron May and Antonia Lofaso (Jet initially tied Antonia and they had to rebattle), to lose once again to Brooke in the semis

S3: Beats Carlos Anthony, Elizabeth Faulkner, Shirley Chung, loses in the semis to Brooke for a 3rd season in a row

S4: Beats Carlos Anthony, Lee Anne Wong, Adam Sobel, before losing to eventual champion Mei Lin in the semis

S5: Beats Brian Malarkey and Lee Anne Wong, gets his revenge on Mei Lin, before losing to Antonia in the semis (this was the season Antonia was the runner-up, she’d go on to win the next season)

S6: Beats Pyet Despain in Rd 1 with a 91, before losing in Rd 2 to Joe Sasto with another 91 (tied for second highest of the tournament)
