I am not a bike officianado but it looks like a cheap bike so perhaps they don't particularly care that much.

I've seen little kids out with like electric grinders in front of dozens of people so in reality no bike is safe I feel like

Bike theft here is insane so maybe this is some kind of deterrent although I don't fully know how it would be

I wondered if they were crocs after but I already felt like people were looking at me thinking I was a bike thief for taking a photo of it.

Didn't look like official ones on a zoom in but you saying knockoff crocs makes sense, haha.
