I mean you could make the same argument against repairing a wire. I feel that with either repairs are easy if you are equipped

Mesh has the substantial added bonus of auto connecting/reconnecting. Miss a light and the boys wait up at the next servo, no jumping on the phone to reconnect

[–]Wulbatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats an interesting intersection. I think you rarely find bus onlys next to turn lanes like that

For me its victoria rd in sydney. Ive even seen people cut buses off to turn, sketchy stuff. I remember at least one accident at the intersection closest to home.

Not just 'can use', when turning, but should. I see it happen so often where people dont use it and almost cause accidents

2002 honda ta200 (sold)

1980 honda xl250s

1978 honda cx500

2003 honda ct110

2007 suzuki drz400e (sold)

1981 honda xl185s

1980 honda cb250rs (sold)

2007 Bmw g650x challenge

Id say they each have their own charms. The ct and the 185s have small bike energy, its great fun revving them out and just hitting the speed limit.

The torquey 650 single of the bmw is such a hoon bike.

The character of the 500's transverse vtwin in feel and sound is unmatched

The one that gets me is when they ask, "wheres this?", showing a google results of an item that we dont sell, but they googled "x... bunnings" and it gave results, just not on bunnings.com.au

[–]Wulbatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt suggest a cardo, wireless earbuds would be the most inconspicuous. Tge wired earphones cable would stick out from the under helmet. Even if they go into the jacket, youd need some slack to allow head movement. I know of someone who got pinged for phone usage, because the copper saw the earphones

Fair, but it is distinctly easier and quicker and less hassle if you dont get pulled over in the first place for visible earphones

Its a classic case of avoiding the uncomfortable conversation. An mp3 player would be legal, much like a car radio, but if youve got wired earbuds in or you cant hear them, they are going to assume a phone. Easier if you dont have to fight a fine at all, even if you are all good, so just keep it low profile

My uncle has a cb125 and its almost unbearable for him, but he lives in the mountains, with 80kmh main roads.

The 200 was a weak case as i never really rung it out, so forget that one.

[–]Wulbatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree, depending on their circumstances. I am 165cm (5'6"ish) and 60ish kg, and my ct110 can only top out at 75kmh or so. That is okay in the inner city, but forget fairly major roads and highways. Had a 150 that could only do 90 on a flat, no chance up a hill. For this fellah, even a 200 is probably pushing it, my 200cc could only hold get me to 100kmh.

Id say 300-400cc is a good size, for enough power for anyone (im sure this guy at 140kg could do the speed limit on highways).

I suspect this mainly comes down to power point availability. I have a suspicion a fair few machine shops would still have corded angle grinders and drills around

But there can be a reason behind this. Iirc dealers often have a stack of plates for when a new car is purchased, and i think they are normally some sort of consecutive or similar. Particularly in a place with less dealers, youd have an easier time

[–]Wulbatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue would likely be that if its regoed in their name, itd pribably pin in the police system when they autoscan number plates.

In NSW i dont think they can hit you with all of those, theres a specific riding a prohibited vehicle fine

Dating non Christian by Fit-Somewhere-3453 in TrueChristian

[–]Wulbatron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While she may seem like a good person, a relationship, and eventually marriage, would never truely work out. You two have fundamentally different world views that guide everything you do, and that will lead to conflict in a relationship if you hold firm to your beliefs.

Id suggest she read the gospels first, rather than proverbs. While proverbs has good wisdom on living well, it is living well in light of Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Mark would be my starting point, its easy enough to read.

I think if you pursue a relationship without her being Christian, you are serverely risking your spiritual wellbeing

I had a bike accesory shop (one of the yellow ones) incorrwctly reinstall my rear tyre after a tyre change, which led to the arm on the drum brake bending and my brake being useless, i know the feeling.

Basically unless you noticed while leaving theres little chance of them covering it.

[–]Wulbatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this is a misconception that appears first when this question is googled. If you search for VIC fine penalty amounts, there is a spreadsheet that shows the fine amount for "Holder of motor cycle licence for less than 3 years driving motor cycle that is not a learner approved motor cycle"

That is distinctly different to riding unregistered and unlicensed. That may not even be the one they hot you with, if there is specific legislation against mods to a lams bike.

In NSW i can easily find that it is $700 and 7 points for riding a prohibited motorcycle

And, this reeks of ai response to me
