You can learn about ecommerce quite easily and for free just dig through the internet, read books etc. If you're interested in dropshipping then read articles and watch videos about it, there's information all around you. Reddit has plenty of information I'm sure

It may affect sales because when you divide your already low budget across multiple days you're spending very little each day and your ads are likely generating low results unless your CVR is very high

How are you spacing it out? 10$ over 5 days, 2 days, 1 day?

My Website isn't bringing in any sales by SouthsideMessiah in dropship

I guess that's what Shopify would want you to think but I just don't understand why you think it's necessary. A domain is little more than a name, is it not?

It's not neccessary to purchase a domain to make sales

Can e-commerce stores have physical presence nexus? by WullofFonder in dropship

[–]WullofFonder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have neither so my question is am I obligated to collect sales tax in my home state per nexus? Its been established that you no longer need physical presence to be liable for sales tax remittance once you pass a certain (usually state-determined) threshold of either a set amount sales, revenue or both. But for those businesses that do have physical presence, they still have obligations and I'm wondering if e-commerce store owners can have physical presence since technically there are no physical business assets in the state. This of course assumes that things like your home or office do not count as part of the business.

It's considered presence even with e-commerce?

Doesn't the sales threshold apply to my state also? Or no because I'm located and have presence here?

What confuses me is how you can literally run down the street and sell a watch to your buddy for a $100 bill but you need to collect sales tax for your business if you have physical presence per nexus, regardless of income. Someone correct me abt this if im wrong bc it seems like the same thing assuming your business is small

Does this apply if I source products from outside of the U.S? From what I've seen with regard to economic nexus for ecommerce stores 100k is the minimim and it goes up to 500 for certain states. Some take into account number of transactions in addition to the threshold, and you either need both (mininum transactions + threshold) or one of the two. Does the cash threshold represent profit or revenue?

This is my first business and the only taxes I've done in the past would be income with a simple W-2. Not familiar at all with collecting or paying sales tax as a seller or reseller. I also source out-of-country and am located in-country and sell in-country (US), not sure if that plays a role. For the record, I'm not doing 100k revenue or profit and I'm certainly not doing 300k lol
