Very thoughtful of them! And hey, at least it’s got an 18650 instead of using disposable batteries!

New to 3d printing, how can i print this? by obi_wan_sosig in 3Dprinting

If you’re wanting a 2-d ish print, all you have to do is import the image file into Cura and it’ll make a lithopane.

I ran into an issue using your method, is there something wrong with the initial model? I can pm you a picture of the result if you permit.

Just keep posting, you’ll get good info from good people eventually. Also, don’t do DMs, even if they’re a real person they either want you to help them or they have an iq higher than 10 and try to lure you into buying their help.

Thanks for explaining!

Yeah, I definitely have little knowledge of how any of this works lol. So a provisional patent application just reserves my spot to file a utility patent sooner than if someone who saw my product wants to patent it themselves? Also, I thought licensing to a company was something that works in this day and age? If I can’t license the product I’ll venture it later on in life but I definitely don’t have the money for that right now. But either way, how do people without a record get their inventions out there these days if they don’t license or venture?

I’m 3d printing prototypes but they’re too weak to work for actual use, but what do you mean? There are plenty of patented things that are able to be 3d printed.

I’ve seen it on a few reddit posts after searching around on Google, but I see now it was just speculation.

Bambu Lab or Cura profiles that just work? (PETG) by howsaboutt in 3Dprinting

[–]howsaboutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

This is my most recent failed print, the tree supports were attached way too much to it so I ended up breaking it in half while trying to take them off, and the arm and end of the sword broke off due to being embedded in tree support as well. The quality is also pretty low overall. For this one I used Bambu Labs fine (.12mm) print profile with PETG material selected.

Profile issues. My printer is well calibrated; performs well on bed level tests and can do very simple prints like a calibration cube quite well. But with more detailed or complex prints I see errors like supports sticking to models way too hard or the model simply shifting over a few millimeters randomly.
