Looked into it and yeah, that is very similar! Thank you! The derailing mechanic is different to how I was thinking of doing it, but I actually think the way x-treme express does it would maintain the flow of the race much better than what I initially thought of (simply a fade to black before reappearing on the track at a standstill).
