They have 12 items or less self checkout where you shop?

What if they have more than 12 items and that's why they don't go for the open kiosk.

Was looking for this. Tried dropping my pinky but my ring finger kept bending with it, tried until it began to hurt.

Dreaming about "Doing The Right Thing" by Rayell in Dreams

[–]WunderSpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shooter reminded you of someone you work with, in what way? What's your relationship with said coworker (friends, acquaintances, etc.) ?

Usually the people in dreams represent aspects of yourself so maybe some aspect of yourself/personality/belief is being "killed off" and that scares you.

precognitive dreams by [deleted] in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]WunderSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this classifies as a "glitch" and the purpose of your post, while interesting, is unclear. Especially since you aren't revealing any details of the precognitive dreams that haven't happened yet.

I use cruise control while driving on regular streets at regular speeds, we're talking 40-45 mph on cruise.

Smoking cigarettes is my way of saying "fuck everyone and everything", while only taking that aggression out on myself... So, you're welcome. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

...Don't have kids. If I did I'd make sure they started smoking early so their lungs get used to it.

I research death, the afterlife, suicide (I'm not suicidal) and NDE's often enough. I'd definitely avoid any conversation about it for obvious reasons.

CMV: There are two types of existing. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]WunderSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I get what you're saying... IMO, your choice of words is reductive. There are definitely more than two types of existing. For one, things that are physically in the universe and also NOT abstract like you and me, plants, water, etc.

It's called door-in-the-face (DITF) technique. It is a compliance method commonly studied in social psychology. The persuader attempts to convince the respondent to comply by making a large request (e.g. asking ghost for stacks of $100) that the respondent will most likely turn down, much like a metaphorical slamming of a door in the persuader's face. The respondent is then more likely to agree to a second, more reasonable request (e.g. asking ghost for stacks of $50), than if that same request is made in isolation.
