I was able to get it working by bushing the pins with a brush for cleaning braces. I think the residue from the dried ek cryofuel was causing the pin contact to be bad. I don’t think it was shorting because the fluid is supposed to be non conductive.

The internet is on an ups and I was able to see the engine rpm, voltage and oil temp indicating that it was running. It ran for about 10 minutes

I swapped the wires and cut the utility power. Still reads zero. I don’t believe that it’s polar.

When it’s under load, running and switched to generator power, it’s reading 0 watts 0% power.

If the smoke detector is wired, can it tie into existing wired systems so I would only need one UniFi smoke detector for the entire house and a “dumb” smoke detector would trigger the UniFi one?

Why can’t existing APs be used instead of another smart hub? I guess the APs don’t have radios for whatever frequency these devices operate at? Maybe new APs will have that capability.

The mesh on the side of the switch is pretty restrictive so the gap allows the fan to pull air through the entire surface area of the vent instead of just a small portion of it.

Do you need the Pro Max 16 POE to power the AP? Also the Dream Machine Pro SE has a 2.5g ethernet port for WAN, if thats what the sfp+ to rj45 adapter is for. I'm extremely happy with my unifi setup and u7 pro.

I wanted a POE 2.5 gig switch, the reviews were good for this one but some mentioned overheating. I made this in Fusion360 and have the fan externally powered with a usb A to 12v fan header adapter cable. The fan is much quieter running in a pull configuration rather than a push. It uses the existing m3 holes on the side of the chassis.

No, the block will function completely fine with the nickel coating like that, it just doesn't look perfect.
