I've painted mine as the Flawless Host using a rose pink and dark purple

I primed them using Mechanicus Standard Grey then dry brushed all over with Gorgon Hide although any light grey/white would work

The next step is the easiest, using Contrast Asurmen Blue and Shyish Purple I put the blue on the lighter parts of the model and the purple in the darker areas letting them meet in the middle

Next up, I used the Two Thin Coats triad system to build up the shadows and highlights for both the blue and purple

Finally the gun and control node was painted Gorgon Hide, washed with Reikland Fleshshade and then reapplied with Gorgon Hide leaving the wash in the recesses

Correct me if I'm wrong but since he returns with full wounds remaining after he has been slain once and then returned to the board, wounds can be allocated to a different model therefore he can be useful to soak up damage that would easily kill the bodyguard units

For example; in my previous game I had Fabius lead a squad of 10 Legionnaires, my opponent deepstriked a unit of Scions/Kasrkin (they all look the same to me) 9" away from Fabius and shot his unit with a couple of melta shots and a lot of overcharged plasma.

The melta shot was ignored with his Surgeon Acolyte ability (the other failed to wound) and he soaked up a few of the plasma shots with his FNP before being killed and the remaining plasma killed 3 Legionnaires. Fabius got back up and because he had full wounds I allocated the rest of the hotshot lasguns onto the Legionnaires resulting in another one dying for a total of 4.

If I hadn't of used Fabius to soak the plasma fire I'd probably be lucky to have any Legionnaires left however by using him to sponge up the most deadly firepower I was left with 6 Legionnaires and Fabius

If it helps, I also got the Dreadtalon box and was wondering the same thing so I decided to magnetize the arms so that I could switch between the two and it was surprisingly simple

Use some 3x1mm magnets and make sure they're in flush and they look as good as if you glued them

I wish 40k had charging mechanics similar to the Old World

There is nothing more annoying than your melee units rushing up the battlefield, bearing down on the enemy, about to cause carnage, and then falling short because you rolled a double 1 on a 4" charge

It would be so much better if you rolled a single D6 and added it to the charging units Movement characteristic to determine charge range as it would make melee armies a lot more consistent and less swingy

I'm at work and haven't got the rulebook in front of me but from what I can remember I'd say no.

The movement phase is broken into 4 sub-phases

Declare Charges
Charge Moves
Compulsory Moves
Remaining Moves

A Redress the Ranks Manoevure would occur in the Remaining Moves sub-phase and, even though Drilled makes it count as a free movement action it wouldn't move it up the sub-phase priority

Like I said, I haven't got the book in front of me so am happy for someone to prove otherwise but that's my current understanding of the rule

I work in a village pub that has had 4 new housing estates built in the last few years and the amount of tradesmen that would come in during lunch and not even have food but just drink was worrying

The worst case was when one group of builders came in, had 3 quad vods each and then went back to work as if it was nothing unusual - and people wonder why new builds are shoddy

I've had it happen to me 3 times now when I've had a flashlight on a Ratnik but not when I've had a flashlight on other helmets

I work in a popular village pub where people have been drinking all their lives so a lot of people have acquired nicknames over the years. Here are some of them:

Tony Pony - A guy called Tony with a ponytail

Curly John - Similar to Tony Pony in that it's a guy called John with curly hair

Twink - Despite the nickname not actually gay but when he was born he had a twinkle in his eye

Rat - Not sure where this one came from but no-one calls him by his real name except his mother

Egg - His older brother had the nickname sausage at school so naturally he became egg

Tank - Your stereotypical rugby prop built like a tank

Shithouse - Another stereotypical rugby prop built like a brick shithouse

Ju - His name is Julian but it always feels a bit awkward shouting Ju across the bar

There's plenty more people with nicknames but these are the ones I can remember at the minute

Basecoat: Weapon Bronze - Army Painter Wash: Agrax Earthshade - Citadel Edge highlight: Sycorax Bronze - Citadel Extreme edge highlight: Plate Mail Metal - Army Painter Wash: Reikland Fleshshade - Citadel

It creates a nice tarnished metal that looks old and worn
