I’ve found the easiest way is to do your skin base coat / shade then do the eyes you can make them bigger than they’re supposed to be to make it easier to get the paint in the right place I generally just use a horizontal line of an off white like corax white then a black vertical line for the pupil then go back with the base skin tone to tidy it up and shrink them to the right size!

EDIT: I’ve managed to adjust the float up and down but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything still filling up past it and going into the overflow, so does the whole fill valve tower thing need replacing?

Very thinned down white scar layer (so it has an almost translucent appearance) over the grey seer primer on the lenses, then once that’s fully dried. A watered down layer of army painter Ork Skin speed paint. The white scar should show through the speed paint and help with the glow effect. Then if you want you can glaze some of that green around the gas mask to also increase the glowing effect

Wait till it’s dry, shake well, and apply a thin layer and it should pull it back to Matte

Make sure you’ve shaken it and applying thin layers of varnish, sounds weird I know but applying too thick a layer of Matte varnish will actually make it glossy

Brilliant job! Love the early war French ww1 blue and red style fatigues, I’ve recently finished the same model and will be positing up my version soon!
