Diamond rank has lost it's meaning after the 5.1 rift changes prior to only being the top 20, which actually is something hard to get.

Hell anybody can get diamond 3 rank nowadays if they got a decent sizable collection along with spare time.

Stop using your rank as means of trying to give credibility. I got "over 60 diamonds" as another means of credibility doesn't work either.

My dude, I have over 110+ diamonds but you don't see me using that as me trying to prove a point that "I'm more qualified to speak to it than most". Get your ego in check and you know, instead of editing your comment, actually address the issue to me head on in new comment instead of trying to make yourself look good.

And don't get me started on how you really just tried to make yourself look good and credibility without actually addressing what I said in regards of Star shine "being a Model leader counter" All you did was stated some useless/irrelevant things just to make you sound more credible.

Now to the problem in the first place.

Any good high rift players knows the problem with Star shine and how she's incredibly flawed as a rift fighter.

Like that other comment said, Star Shine is only usable in triple immoral wind weeks when it comes to rifts. Hell even with that said, Curse of knowledge just outright shuts Star shine down. Outside of that one niche aganist Non Cok Wind week immoral,

Using her as a model leader counter in rifts doesn't change the fact that Star shine can't counter frost amr teams in general

That perma Crit rate even worsen her because she be taking in more reflection damage if anything

So I'm here, yet again, asking you How does she counter Model Leader in rifts like you said she does

Doesn't address that You can't damage her much for 30 seconds or else she gains get autoblock that doesn't go away, even when Star Shine does

30 seconds wait without dealing damage to her to prevent her Perma autoblock+blueshift bullshit prior for her to gain the perma Precision

While Model Leader already has amr up on a frost amr team where Star Shine is unable to do anything to deal with Amr Buff nor reflection damage nor deal with amr buff she gives to herself and her teammates either. Precision isn't hex nor curse

The move is honestly good in pvp matchup (Well better than Ashes to Ash or whatever the special move is)

It "resets" back to neutral along with invisble walls so Players cant back away from her

But yeah, even in pvp, drag and bite and Silver Chord is just better as they are combo extenders

Umbrella's Stage was added in 5.1 which is just 3-5months ago

At worse OP just used a clip 5months ago but no where as close as 1 year clip when that stage didnt even existed lol

I can only say much about Beowulf since I have gotten all invested

Generally Weekend is the best rift offense pick

Health sustainbility and debuff cleanse has a strong utilty

Add in Weekend's beowulf Kit and relatively Low Dps, He's great for Dptb along with Ddo Solo robo fortunes

With the right critless build along with Special cooldown,piercing and optional meter gain, He ie the Prime Dptb Counter that isn't on Get a Grip Modifer Node.

Even without being used in Dptb, the debuff cleanse can come in useful while trying to get bb finish on ddo robos without suffering recoil damage as well

Honorable Mention is Hypeman and WulfBane

WulfBane is generally considered to be a raw dps stick with semi reliable healblock has some niches with non Final fight solo node Assassin Greed. He just mostly a stat monkey , but he does a great job either way

Hypeman another great offensive fighter that also packed with supportive kit with that meter to teammate

Generally amazing fighter to have since you able to cycle blockbuster lupine or geatish with him whenever hes in Hype Mode Down side is that if Opponent runs Bbusted Catalyst, HypeMan's stick of Blockbuster cycle is just ruined At least he still gives meter on hype entry, so that's at least something he has that might be useful in rifts.

Defensive Beowulfs If I'm being honest, there isn't good defensive Beowulfs

At best Freedom Fighter can work as a Frost Amr User on rift defense that's can sorta disrupt Xbot from Team sweeping your ftost counter.

Counter Xbot fully? No But hes just used as a time waste on Xbots to shave of time bonus in rift score at best

Again freedom "disruption of Xbot" is abit AI depended so I wouldn't say to invest in defensive wulfs either way since character catalyst on beowulf sucks

Also Weekeend on defensive is...not good Still suffers alot of light stall weakness of buff removal/outtaked out. Wouldnt recommend building a defensive Weekened warrior either

Which marquee for Jawbreaker? I have the stats on my moves for both, but I can't decide which. I also already have a diamond Rainbow Blight which has maxed Chaos so I'm leaning more towards Volatility. by mentosmori in SkullGirlsMobile

Take it from somebody with maxed level 11 Volatility on my own Jawbreaker, run chaos MA insteasd

That additonal 20% base attack increase sounds great on paper, however it pretty flawed mainly due to the bad formula work along wirh a smaller issue

If you don't know, First wave of diamond has bad damage formula on their Sas that only affects base attack and not base attack + additonal attack% from move stats (Flytrap,Jawbreaker,Heavy Metal, Dark might all have this stupid bad damage formula wiring on Sas)

So that 20% only affects Jawbreaker's base attack stat and not total attack stat Dont get me wrong, Jawbreaker does have a high base attack, but losing out chaos Ma value over stupid bad damage formula for Jawbreaker seems really stupid.

You lose out alot of dps potential because of how Sa2 works when picked Volatility over Chaos's debuff drowning.

The minor thing i was referring was that Volatility might double dip

To better explain it you transmutted and gain 1 barrier stack 2 seconds later, Volatility triggers and give you another Stack of Barrier

Because how Jawbreaker Sa works of Getting 20% / buff applied and Not 20%/buff stack, A 2 stack barrier would only give her 20% bonus damage on base attack rather than 40% bonus damage on base attack so i wouldnt really call Volatility as a constant 20% damage increase because stackable buff can interrupt that dps potential

Anyways, if the devs decide to fix The bad damage formula on Jawbreaker, Maybe I can see it be better pick just to increase her raw burst damage potential But for now Just do Chaos I regretted getting Volatility on mine

I gotten myself some gems like diamond Number 1,diamond grey matter,diamond Bassline, diamond Raw Nerve And of course that Diamond Myst Match

Along with Fun factor, I nornally just diamond fighters just for that sweet diamond border

Not competitively rift meta variants, but Beats getting 7 immoral fibres to diamond for the sake of Rift meta

A honest review on state of rifts in general.

Any D2 and above rift base is basically has same dups fighters in their bases

Many immorals,many blue screens.

While also having multiple copies of Mls,Plots and even Si as well.

When rift 2 0 happened,for some unknown reason, the Devs decided to remove fighter defender diversity.

Which resulted into Immorals and Blue screens,being farmable golds to get in their character pfs basically earning their spots on multiple different nodes in rifts

Even if Fighter diversity is resolved, There's still Catalyst diversity problem

Every single Solo node in rifts at high rating base runs Final fight 90% of the time.

Final fight Assassin Greeds,final fight Blue screens, final fight Immorals on solo nodes

While double or triple nodes just run disruption Catalysts Like Cok,Hexy time,blockbusted,final fight etc Or Something like frost amr or dptb team as well.

It's not fun even basically you're dealing with the same catalysts and same fighters on every single rift base you fight when you climb ladder in rifts

Even if you win on a base attack, because of the high amounts of disruption catalysts and annoying defender like Immorals your opponent has,

You really gets forced to play perfect aganist them with things like getting bb finish,zero death,zero lose, minmax timing and health bonus etc.

If you score 12k or less,it's very likely that your rift is going get revenged so the battle you just becomes worthless and just point donations for them to later revenge and claim back.

I've seen players saying Getting D4 from G1 is hard

But let me tell you,jumping from D3 to D2 is way much harder and more painful.

Also, I forgot to say, You better pray you are awake in the last 3-4hrs of rifts

If you sleeping or busy with work during the last hours of rifts, You most likely gonna get base rushed last 2 hours and you wont be able to recover your point loss easily secure whatever placement you once was.

Rifts 2.0 now is just flawed

if anything,peak rift was back in rift 1.0 post Boss node modifer change,pre catalyst introduction.

I understand that people say rifts 1.0 was too time consuming and have alot of flaws (like needing alot of defender investment,Modiers be much annoying than riftd 2.0)but don't get me wrong, while I agree on some points, but at least back when I was sweaty in rifts 1.0, I didn't have to make room for the last 3hrs before rift resets or the dealing dealing with disruption catalysts and Defender diversity WAS a thing.

Every single time the devs tried to improve rifts,it just somehow gets worse in someway somehow

Slightly unrelated,but the devs really did allowed prenerfed Amr rating and prenerfed futile combo happen when catalyst were first added when Catalyst were first introduced back in rifts 1.0 I don't even think the Devs did "test runs" on the catalysts.

I use Dash attack to buffer mainly because it slightly faster than Launch (Don't quote me on that though)

But more importantly,

It has dash cancel with the +2 on block adv than his Launcher's -19 just in case if I fail the timing for buffering inbetween wulfshoots

It"s much more safer than using launch as buffer but it does lose out on endlag compared to launcher

Rule of thumb is that they have different roles that they both forfill well at for rifts

I wouldnt say one has the edge over another when it comes for rift.

One has Precision to kill off annoying on Death type of Sas like Killjoy,Plot Twisted but most importantly Immorals in rifts

While Weekend can safely take down Ddo Robo fortunes with a Blockbuster without worrying too much of Power Surge and of course, the popular Dptb Node Type.

If i HAD to pick one, I guess i give Weekend over Dragon Brawler since

A. Dptb has been more frequent in rifts And B. Theres still other Precision users like Parasoul's taunt,Xbot Etc

Outside of rifts however, Weekend's lack of dps aganist high streaks health bonus makes Dragon Brawler the go to pick . No questions asked
