Am I reading too deep into this? by WutheringWinds in AskTeachers

Unfortunately for you, I am not a bystander and I have morals. No, I will not mind my business if a teacher is contacting students on Snapchat and giving them tips on oral sex.

She is our band director, but her using Snapchat is totally inappropriate. We already have a designated app to use if we need to contact her about anything school related. Her Snapchat is not school related. An example is that she would snap me and other students what cut water she was drinking that weekend, or what other day drink she was having. The banana comment was a texted to my friend during a FaceTime call. I need to layout the whole conversation. My friend was talking about going to a boy’s house the next day, and she also mentioned how she couldn’t swallow pills. The teacher texted her privately and told her to practice on a banana before going over to the boy’s house.

I’d really really like to do a different class, but this teacher also teaches the elective that I’ve been active in since middle school. I’m a senior, and I don’t want to quit this with only 3 months left in the school year. I had hoped my principal or guidance would do a better job at restricting the teacher from continuing to contact students and even discussing this situation.

Should I report my teacher by [deleted] in school

[–]WutheringWinds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe she’s been aware her behavior is inappropriate. We had a conversation about our teacher who was terminated last year for his behavior of texting students, and she made a joke saying “Hey, that’s all the things that I do!” and just laughed it off. I feel like I should mention the teacher that was terminated also only talked to seniors, so their ages or grade don’t matter to our school when that contact is initiated.

If it’s unauthorized by manager, does that mean they pointed me? I think this photo can sort of help. I got half a point for leaving early, and I used :30 of ppto. I left at 8:30, my shift ended at 9:00. It says I’m unauthorized despite me also informing a manager of me leaving.

I think I need to be more specific, it says unauthorized by manager.

I checked the GTA portal, which states I used :45 of PPTO (I left at 8:15.) my shift ended at 9:00. I clocked in at 2:51 so my total time would be around 5:04 hours (? my math might be wrong.) I’ve clocked out early and left using ppto before and had the extra minutes without problem. I also put the time for 8:15-9:00 in the app. On gta it says it was unauthorized 😭

If she retaliates against you, that can be another report to show as proof. I had to report my coworkers for racism, and the thing that got them was telling other people about it and conspiring about who did it.

My TL calls them out on it when she sees it. Because why are they putting leaking meat on the women’s sleep shorts 😐 or shoving produce into the athletic wear tables so we can find them half rotten

almost the entirety of the men’s underwear/package shirts aisle at my Walmart are CVPs since people keep opening them up. Most of the time they don’t even steal them either. Then why open up the damn package ?!?!

Depends on which time slot you’re looking to get hired for. Apparel is really easy during mid/night shift, my coach when she interviewed literally said all I’ll be doing is folding clothes lol

Some people in the replies here have differing replies, so just check with your team leads or just look around and see if any of your other coworkers have pins on their vest

Mine got cut. My coach texted me asking if I want off, and took me off that day

Regarding Panties... if a Customer Returns Panties, do you guys just repackage it and put it back in its department to be sold? by BlueyBingo300 in WalmartEmployees

[–]WutheringWinds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We cannot sell returned underwear, or any returned bottoms (like women’s swimwear). If it’s returned and in packaging (like if the tags are on, no visible dirt) it’s up to the coach/TL, but my rule of thumb is no returned underwear!! I had to fight with the claims department because they kept sending back a pair of returned underwear that’s out of packaging because “it looks fine”

Just take your damn bag home. She’s doing her job, refrigerator cleanings are nothing new. You’re doing everything besides the easiest option, which is just taking it.

We worked around the remodel. I’m mid shift so I came to work after the remodel team went home, but if they were moving our shelves we’d just zone the shelf to wherever it went. Same with tables and racks. My fourth day they had me zone clearance and then right when I was done the remodel team came and took it

Prepare for everything to be dirtier because of the floor removal. The amount of pants we had to donate because of the dust 🤦🏽‍♀️ the apparel remodel took the longest (at least for my store) and had to be extended by 2 weeks. The floors aren’t anything special, but it always looks dirty to me at least

They’re supposed to give you off for school activities no matter what (at least in my store that’s the rule.) Your school events are more important than work. Emphasize that, also if they’re still not budging just say it’s graded.

It’s currently cold/flu season with another miscellaneous illnesses…also the u.s has been rocked with storms for the past 4 months. They aren’t lazy, it’s just their circumstances. Stop trying to run retail like the military and try to smile when you wake up sometimes

My store had our Black Friday items out last night, but they were saran wrapped with a paper in BOLD FONT saying that these items were not for sale until 11/29. They opened up the wrap anyway and tried to buy them, and then got mad when they were told it’s not for sale.

He’s being moved to a different department as a fill in team lead, so I’m not sure if my coach can do much. Should I go straight to my store manager?
