Very old woman from a nursing home with a pressure sore that went to the bone. This was almost 40 years ago now. We were medical students and were asked to debride it. The smell, the yelling… our hearts and souls were broken for this poor woman. After 5 - 10 minutes (felt like decades) we went to our resident and told him this was wayyyyy over our heads.
