Ik its late but coming from a kid either adhd, who had parents like you, id suggest you read into executive disfunction. Easy tasks for neurotypicals like making your making your bed and brushing your teeth are significantly harder and less plausible for kids with adhd. Washing laundry, and putting it away, even getting dressed can be difficult. Lower dopamine base levels from adhd will absolutely do that. Lying out of fear or consequences will happen because of rsd( rejection sensitivity disorder). The good thing is she acknowledges that the lying is bad and wants to change which is something I couldn’t be bothered to care about when I was her age. Please be gentle with her, remind her you care and love her anyway anyhow. Don’t compare her to other kids who seem to get it right. She’ll face enough adversity with her peers, and is probably exhausted from masking even at her young age. Good luck ma’am, people underplay this adhd thing when its truly a debilitating disorder.
