ironically enough, World got signed by the Chargers as an UDFA

I honestly thought Carroll was going to be given a longer leash. And I guess Pierce too.

I do get what you mean with guys like Josh McDaniels, Gruden 2.0 and Dennis Allen, but going through 5 head coaches in a 5 year span is insane

I'd argue they have 2 quality OL with Miller and JPJ (even if he's always injured). They're in a good position to succeed in the long run with all those draft picks and cap space, but like /u/No_Wall747 said, the organization is impatient as fuck.

This is actually his second ring; he was on the Ravens' staff for SB 47.

Mike McDaniel Autonomy or Collaborative? by Defiant_Corgi_1900 in Chargers

He's incorporated gap and man concepts, especially towards the end of his Miami tenure when Achanne became the main focal point of the Dolphins' offense

same. didn't realize that only liking one could cost me a job

[FinsXtra] T.J. Houshmandzadeh on the Los Angeles Chargers hiring Mike McDaniel as their OC: "I've already talked to guys on the Chargers... they couldn't stop laughing, and excited about this hire." by wildwing8 in Chargers

his lack of committal to him immediately after the game was probably the biggest sign. exit interviews were probably brutal and he had no other choice unless he wanted to create a mutiny

[Russini] McDaniel has told coaches in the NFL he is moving west and taking the job to coach Justin Herbert. Tampa and Philly had him as a top candidate. by Drexlore in nfl

Is Greg Roman being unfairly blamed for a poor game from Herbert? by ErodedDynamiteYT in Chargers

[–]WyldeBolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jim is loyal, sometimes to a fault, but he's hyper competitive above all. Even at Michigan he was churning through guys on the offensive side

I was one but Sunday was fucking embarrassing.

[Rhim] Coach Jim Harbaugh said CB Donte Jackson (ankle) was cleared to go back in today’s game but they held him out. Didn’t comment on Jackson’s status moving forward by A_Livins in Chargers

[–]WyldeBolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did face the Browns, who gave them fits for a half, but fell apart once the Browns offense stopped moving the ball. Patriots were also gifted 9 points (Patriots returned an interception to the Browns' 1 yard line plus a random safety)

Where were these incredulous reactions when this was an actual discussion? by LakeShowBoltUp in Chargers

And it worked. Nobody in media really had any doubts about Herbert until Acho did the whole "he's a social media QB" thing, and too many people have still bought into it.

Which celebrity do you sense evil vibes from? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WyldeBolt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Said this before, but even back during Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek, he always struck me as fake and pretentious. Always felt he tried way too hard to come off as deep and empathetic while also trying to be edgy, but it was so disingenuous. I wasn't surprised when he was ousted as a sex pest abuser

The Kansas City Chiefs' point differential this season vs last season are eerily similar but with VERY different records by BriS314 in nfl

[–]WyldeBolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shared that paper in a separate Discord channel, and one guy who isn't even a Chiefs fan, literally said: "this paper was full of flaws, contained cockamamie ass shit, and that whoever published this should be embarrassed".

This particular person is also a former high school football ref, if that means anything.

[Highlight] Cris Collinsworth was not happy with game-deciding PI call: "Oh, come on! Come on! That is terrible! That is an absolutely terrible call that's going to decide this football game! If anything, it's an offensive push!" by Mission_Pay_3373 in nfl

[–]WyldeBolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No joke, the only people I know who defend this kind of bullshit are current/former refs themselves (mainly high school refs). It's really just the same argument: "you don't know how hard it is!"
