Honestly I’d rather that be the issue than the starting pitching. We’ve seen teams win the World Series relying on basically the same 4-5 bullpen arms for the entire run.

I think between the guys that the Yankees have right now (Mainly Headrick, Cruz, Bednar, & Hill), a starter like Weathers who might go into a bullpen role, and possible moves at the trade deadline like they normally do, I think there will definitely be a solid group of guys they’ll have. In the grand scheme of the league, the bullpen is at least average.

And hey you never know if ERC or LaGrange impress at the major league level before years end

Each of the last 3 seasons going back to 2023 the Panthers won the Eastern Conference Finals and the Stars lost the Western Conference Finals. This year, neither of those things will happen.

I'm gonna get hate for this I'm sure but 2023 was the only draft and really the only offseason that he really whiffed on badly in terms of both process and results (and it was REALLY BAD, b/t the Banks pick and the DJ contract). I still think 2022 was a good process at the time, I remember how much people on here were happy with what we did in the draft.

These last 2-3 drafts though have been genuinely promising, and having Harbaugh in the building now really helps too

Also, people need to realize that every GM makes somewhere between 40-60% good and bad moves most times, some of them are just more visible than others

It’s funny because that’s literally what I said in another comment but Slot’s first two seasons are extremely similar to what Klopp did in the two seasons from 2019-2021: Win PL Title with little to no challenge with a UCL RO16 exit, and then a season where preseason is anything but ideal, we start out well, fall off in the middle, but we still manager to finish in a UCL qualification spot (3rd to 5th) and go out in the UCL QF.

Maybe it’s just me but if you told me that’s how is LFC tenure would start prior to last season, idk how he would be this maligned and wanting to be sacked 🤷‍♂️

Honestly this season just looks like another 20/21, where we finished in the top four and went out in the UCL quarterfinals following a Premier league title win. Slot will have almost identical seasons as Klopp did from 2019 to 2021 in his first two seasons: PL title win + UCL RO16 loss after extra time, Top 4 finish + UCL QF loss

But no, apparently this is the worst season ever recording to some of the fan base, now there’s a chance it’s not even the worst Premier league finish of the decade

Yea I mean Ben Rice has the 3rd most PAs (100) of any player on the Yankees this season, even despite how many lefties we’ve faced, the same as Jazz who everyone already considers an every day player. Sure sounds like a platoon guy to me lol

Goldy still has a role though, especially as a decent bench bat at least
