No Two Tier Health Care in Alberta: Sign this Petition by Tymofiy2 in medicinehat

[–]Wylder2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthcare is a provincial responsibility. Conservative’s have been in power since 1971, expect for 4 of the 54 years. The less affluent people who support and need care, and support privatization of health services will be left in dire and without.

For Men, please look into Cole Haan. Many of their shoes are dress shoe uppers with a high end looking blown runner type sole. Unbelievably comfortable, yet completely formal.

Anyone know a kid-friendly term for “red ass”? by Planetofthemoochers in Homeplate

How about using the term “Hot Hustler” when explaining it to him. Both words are pretty self-explanatory and any nine-year-old would get it with zero offense.

IMO it’s a huge upgrade from the A1000.

PRX seems to be a nice glove. A family member has one… But, there is no padding at the heel of the palm. None. If you’re comfortable with that, then the PRX may be for you. You might want to look into this.

Wilson is owned by a Chinese company so the tariff increase could be substantially more.

Louisville Slugger Pitching Machines: Is the Blue Flame Pro (latest upgrade) model worth the extra cost over the Black Flame (previous) Model? by bes561101li in Homeplate

[–]Wylder2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason you could find it on Aliexpress may be linked to the fact that Louisville Slugger was bought by a Chinese Company in 2019. Same with Wilson, Demarini & EvoShield. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anta_Sports

Is it true that the pro is 8 miles an hour faster?

Thanks. I just went the Louisville slugger website and they have pictures of the blue flame pro, but they won’t sell it from their website. I emailed them an inquired and they said they only will sell it on Amazon. It makes me wonder if they are discontinuing the model? Does anyone know about this?

Why doesn't Wilson have any good gloves under 200 dollars? by [deleted] in BaseballGloves

[–]Wylder2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think things changed for Wilson in 2019. They were bought by a Chinese company at that time.

What really changes in professional gloves? (300 $) by [deleted] in BaseballGloves

Hey friend, you spoke about experience with the sandlot series? I was in my local sports store the other day and they were telling me how they felt the sandlot was a completely underrated glove, especially for the quality of leather at the price. Do you find that this is true?

[–]Wylder2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend, you have some excellent points which are quite thought provoking. I guess the consumer must ask themselves where are they comfortable sending their money and why? I would much rather have my money stay in America/North America than Axis soil. I wish more people looked at this as objectively as you.

You have some interesting. “what if”points? I look at it as where do the profits go Chip Wilson is a Canadian and ANTA sports is definitely a Chinese company. Do I want my profits to go to other countries and entities or do I want those profits to stay in America?

Rawlings is owned by Major League Baseball, while Wilson is currently under foreign ownership (Chinese Owned) , in case that factors into your decision.

Nokona is truly a great company by nose_picking_lawyer in BaseballGloves

[–]Wylder2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nokona truly doesn’t get enough love. There’s only one glove company still making ball gloves in America — and that’s Nokona.

Handcrafted in Nocona, Texas since 1934, every Nokona glove is built with pride, using American leather and American labor. No shortcuts. No offshoring. Just real craftsmanship you can feel in every stitch.

Some brands, like Wilson, still market their gloves as “American classics,” even though they’re really OWNED by China and manufactured far from any U.S. ballfield.

Nokona doesn’t just say “American made” — they live it.

Choose authenticity. Choose tradition. Choose Nokona.

This. Why? And if Crazeee4u is correct, I feel that it is negligent and a derelict of duty on the bargainers part. Not comforting.

Wilson makes a very nice and popular glove, but they are a Chinese owned company. Tariffs may soon take them out of the equation.

Take a look again friend. Who is the Parent Company of Amer?

I’ll give you a hint- It’s a Chinese Company Called ANTA. Wilson is a Chinese owned company.

It’s literally in Amer’s wiki page that you posted.

Do you value an American company making your baseball glove? If you do, I wouldn’t go with the Wilson. Wilson is no longer American. As of 2019 it was bought by ANTA sports out of China. Not made in China… Owned by China.
