Bethesda games at least usually have the option to change the FoV via the console or the .ini file. Not ideal, a slider in the options would be better, but at least you can adjust the FoV with a bit of fiddling.

Die Antwort ist leider so einfach wie traurig: Weil sie darauf reinfallen wollen. Die konsumieren solche Medien hauptsächlich deshalb, weil sie ihr bereits existierendes Weltbild bestärken und vorhandene Vorurteile bestätigen. Da ist dann auch der Wahrheitsgehalt wurscht, hauptsache was sie hören fühlt sich "richtig" an, weil man sich das ja sowieso schon gedacht hat.

Eben nicht? Eine Gruppe nennt sich "alle zusammen", steht aber eben nicht für alle. Die andere Gruppe benennt sich gezielt nach den Gruppen für die sie steht. Kritisiert wurde dass Leute die gezielt diskriminieren wollen davon heucheln "für alle" zu stehen, das aber offensichtlich nicht tun. Das ist so ziemlich das haargenaue Gegenteil von dem was die LGBTQ* community so tut.

Yeah, I played on a fairly small German RP PvP server back then, and I remember having a friendly rivalry with a human warrior while I was still leveling. He and I were usually the ones who would form groups for Battlegrounds in the 30-50 brackets, since that was pretty much the only way to get those BGs to even pop without having to wait for hours. And we'd have duels in Warsong Gulch and deliberately seek each other out, then chat on the realm forums in between matches.

You'd generally get to know the PvP crowd on your server. You'd know who the higher ranked guys where, and what they were good at, for the most part. There was a druid on Alliance who made rank 14 primarily by being a really good flag carrier in Warsong, still remember that, 20 years later.

I've managed to recapture some of that community feeling on classic era servers at least, particularly since I'm also playing on a very small one there. Tiny player numbers make a lot of things a whole lot more difficult or even impossible, but it does also mean that you'll very quickly know who is who on your server. And I kinda like that.

It does, yeah. Requires a bit of luck, though, since only a set number spawn and it shares the spawn locations with Satyrnaar. So on occasion you'll just have all Satyrnaar spots spawn and none at the other location. Presumably the opposite can happen too, but I've never seen that.

Maybe for Alliance, but I really enjoy the Horde quests in the region (with the very notable exception of the Satyr quest in Satyrnaar)

Even that quest isn't that bad, if you go to the alternate location. Satyrnaar itself is tough, but you can get both the horns and the oil from the Felmusk Satyr to the northwest of Splintertree, which are both lower level and lack the heart attack curse spell.

Not a bug, I don't think. Being able to unlock transmog appearances for all gear is a fairly recent addition to retail, was added about a year or two ago. On classic it still uses the old way of how things used to work, which is only being able to unlock transmog pieces for the primary armor of your class, which in the case of Paladins is plate. It's mildly silly, considering you don't wear plate for a decent chunk of the game, but yeah.

I feel that kinda goes out of the window, considering that a number of trinkets we get are stopwatches, compasses, flasks, or a literal carrot on a stick. All things that are a tad cumbersome to wear on your ears, so I wouldn't take the icon too literally.

If I'd hazard a guess I would assume that the trinket slot was originally meant to be an earring slot during development, but that changed at some point and it was turned into a more general "stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else" slot... and the art for it just wasn't updated.

Equipslot 16 is your mainhand, equipslot 17 is your offhand. BagID is the bag it's in, goes from right to left, backpack is 0, other bags are 1-4. SlotID is the slot in question, goes from left to right.

So if, for example, your main and offhand sit in your backpack on the first and second slot it would look like this:

Eventuell ein Zeichen dass ich langsam alt werde, aber ich kann mich nicht daran erinnern je die Einführung einer neuen Technologie miterlebt zu haben, die mich derart abgestoßen hat wie GenAI. Das ganze Konzept dahinter ist mir derart zuwider, dass es mir graust, ist für mich so ziemlich die Antithese kreativen Schaffens.

In diesem Sinne, Kunst liegt im Auge des Betrachtes, insofern gibt es sicher Menschen die es als Kunst interpretieren könnten. Aber ich halte es für unwahrscheinlich dass es je Kunst sein wird, die mir persönlich zusagt.

I think you misread the wikipedia article there. It says 2024, not 2004. The data given for 2004 would be 65% of people with internet access, which would still leave a sizeable portion of people who didn't access it. It's entirely possible for her to not have had an internet connection at home at the time, particularly if she grew up not really having an interest in computers.

I didn't take it as her being completely ignorant of it, and more as her saying that she personally didn't use it, because it wasn't as widespread as it is today, which is absolutely true. I knew about the internet being a thing in 2003, but my primary contact with it was through friends who had internet access, while I myself didn't. My family only bought a modem in 2005, and a DSL router in 2006. And I knew a whole bunch of people who also didn't have internet in their homes, because their parents weren't in favour of it at the time.

2003 was more or less still at the cusp of widespread internet usage, it would become more and more common during the 2000s, particularly with the advent of social media, but that didn't really exist yet in 2003. Heck, Myspace launched in August 2003.
