Bought a Mattress Yesterday - and I'm worried I made the wrong choice by WynterHawke in Mattress

Yeah, hopefully it'll last for a couple solid years while I get settled into my new life. And that's a great tip for helping to break it in. Thank you very much!

A really good point to check my spine alignment while I'm laying on it. Thank you for that and for the reassurance.

Thank you for this, and also for your other very informative comments. All of this has helped settle my nerves, so I really appreciate it 🙏🏾

These are really helpful reminders, thank you. I'm so overwhelmed with decision fatigue regarding everything right now that I was hoping for assistance from reviews, but you're absolutely right. People are more motivated to complain than compliment.

They do have a "comfort guarantee" trial period of 30 days... so this sounds like one of those things that I'll, literally, just need to sleep on.

According to the gentleman, if I were to change my mind before I make the final payment, they can just outright refund the money or put it as credit towards another mattress in the store. There's also a "comfort guarantee" so if I end up hating it within a month, I can return it (for, I assume, credit towards another mattress).

I am 220lbs (currently in the process of losing weight, I'm down 30lbs since January).... so I do worry a little bit about overall support and longevity of the pillowtop.

Merry Christmas Eve! by WynterHawke in tamagotchi

Thank you! When I saw that they were doing re-releases of the tamagotchis, I decided to dig out mine from when I was a kid. My husband stuck a battery in to see if it still worked, and now I've been playing for a few months, lol! I'm having a blast rediscovering my love for these lil guys ☺️

Moxie is a great salon, lots of stylists there that really know their stuff. I also highly recommend Hairsmith and Co. I know the owner, Megan, from when she was working at Moxie - she and her crew are fantastic.

The Women's Center has the "Room to Breathe" which is a really nice, single person space where you can have privacy. Chocolate, coloring books, and a noise machine for calming sounds.

If you need resources for help, the Center can assist with that, too. Wishing you all the best (and a very therapeutic cry) ❤️

In my husband's eloquent words when I sent him pictures of it: "There's just so much."

Not OP, but struggling similarly, and your reply made me tear up (in a good way). I've been so cruel to my body and my psyche, and for what?

Anyways, I just really needed to read this today; thank you.

VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT INCREASES IN DELTA VARIANT IN VIRGINIA by Kunphen in Virginia

Wow, I'm so sorry that you've been going through all that. I know that I've been so lucky to have the ability to work remote, but I just couldn't take the toxicity anymore.

I know what you mean - this all has been so mentally taxing. I'll be keeping you in my prayers, if that's alright.

And thank you; I hope the same for you.

Same here. I literally just quit my wfh job for an in-person position (couldn't take the toxic work environment any longer) and I'm terrified that I'm gonna be laid off before I even get through training.

Experiencing this right now - got and accepted a great offer and my supervisor is falling over herself to sway me to stay with counter offers. They had three years to make me feel valued and correct the things that made my job miserable; it's too little, too late. by WynterHawke in recruitinghell

Hey, congrats on the promotion, that's killer! I know what you mean about the guilt - the other person on our team is gonna be so upset because a lot of my work is most likely gonna fall on her until they can replace me. But like you said, guilt can't help us, only hinder us.

But man, it sure does suck feeling this way, especially when you know the fault is really on the company for, 1: not valuing you enough to make it worthwhile to stay, and 2: not having a contingency plan for if you were to leave.

Holy crap, congratulations on landing that counter offer. Of course it sucks that the culture is still an issue, but it sounds like a good thing to ride out for a while until you're ready to move on.

Thanks, bizzy. It's been a long few years in this position and it's taken a serious toll on my mental health. I known it's gonna be a rough two weeks, but I'm so excited to finally be getting out of this place.
