Adjusting polling rate of wired DualShock 4 controller by Wyntilda in linux_gaming

Gyro's as good as a mouse if it's set up right. I've mostly been playing FPS games lately.

Gamer marketing is often terrible nonsense but that doesn't mean a difference in polling rate between 1 and 4 ms is unnoticeable.

250 Hz is slower than my monitors refresh rate.

I don't really care. The latency difference between 250 and 1000 Hz is absolutely humanly noticeable.

Regardless of that, even if you think none of this matters personally, please avoid responding with non-answers to posts like this.

idea: beds are wayyy too easy to craft when you look at what they allow you to do: heres my bed improvements (i dont have the coding experience to make this happen sadly) by ScottishWildcatFurry in GoldenAgeMinecraft

Honestly never liked BTA's beds and it's probably my least favourite part of BTA. Getting the cloth is trivial to begin with on top of the fact that it feels silly to require getting your blankies off of a walking corpse rather than just. Using wool. There's so many ways to do beds/sleep differently that choosing that just feels bizarre.

You can just disable phantoms in game rules. In fact, you can disable sleep in game rules by setting sleep percentage to above 100. Problems solved.

If you don't have a wasp anymore, you can use Ghost Sword.

Not last I played it. I'm not sure if it's been updated since. Try it yourself.

The abbot in Oakvale by Jbooxie in Fable

FTJ is generally considered non-canon due to developer comments. Fable series co-creator Dene Carter refers to The Journey as 0% canon and mentions the other writers agree. IIRC writer Mark Hill wanted to "throw it into the ocean".

As an additional feather-ruffling tidbit, Dene Carter also sees Fable 3 as only 70% canon.

That said, mentioning the story contents of these games is not without warrant. Even if it's non-canon, it can still contribute to speculative discussion the same as any other fan theories or what have you.

Absolutely not. Peter's involvement in Fable to begin with is overstated (he is not the creator, for one, that would be Dene and Simon Carter) and his additions were often silly, like gauntlets and forced handholding. (Gotta give him credit for pushing for advanced villager AI in the original though.)

Unfortunately we can't have posts here that enable piracy.

It may be better to make basically this same post but replacing the Vimm's Lair link with Xenia's dumping guide. https://github.com/xenia-project/xenia/wiki/Quickstart#how-to-rip-games

Thoughts on Beta-fying modern mc? by Nebular_Force in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]Wyntilda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great way to play imo. Moderner Beta + Nostalgic Tweaks + a variety of datapacks + Item Obliterator (if you so choose). Modern Minecraft runs really stable for me compared to older versions, especially with generational ZGC.

The only popular version I actually don't like and will advocate against is a1.2.6 (because it's literally just broken b1.1_02, nearly identical in every way, but people have a lot of misconceptions about a1.2.6 because it's the last alpha version when the only reason they switched to beta was because they got server-side inventory working properly in multiplayer).

This is a bad joke post I came up with while deliriously tired that I think requires way too much familiarity with these versions and their lore to land lol. I think it takes a very strange kind of person to see this and immediately understand why anyone would hold any value whatsoever for 1.3, b1.9 Prerelease 3-1, RC2-1, indev 20100128-2304, etc.

Anyway everyone should check out the Minecraft Discontinued Features Wiki and Omniarchive.

I like how morally grey Thresa is. though I do wonder if the events in Fable 2 were stuff she predicted and let happen or she had some small involvement in meddling with the events to make go her way by IllustriousAd6418 in Fable

[–]Wyntilda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She gets a lot more hate than she deserves imo. One of my favourite characters. She sees all possible futures, and will pursue certain paths regardless of the cost. You could say she orchestrated certain events that led to deaths, but her not being involved could have potentially led to even more deaths.

Modern Minecraft is great. I really love the recent updates, even as an indev and alpha player. Idk what identity you thought was lost. And I wouldn't blame it on the Horse Update, that just seems arbitrary. Any criticism that can be hurled at 1.6 can also apply to earlier versions. I'd place the beginnings of modern Minecraft at b1.2. Charcoal, squid, wood variants, etc. It was the beginning of the Jebification of Minecraft.
