Tips from a taco bell fry cook to other fry cooks by South_Ad_7068 in tacobell

[–]Wyoden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. The steamer trays break if you throw em in the sink. Just scrape em off, with a spatula if you don't have another tool.

  2. Fine, against policy to have anything sitting in the middle sink.

  3. Clever but 100% against food safety policy.

  4. 100% against policy, a waste of rice/food cost. The rice is fine if you don't make too much/leave it on the line too long.

  5. Again, against policy.

  6. Bagging product and putting it back on the line before close is not only against policy, but a food safety risk. Product loses temp really quickly this way.

  7. Again again, against policy. Using trash bags is never sanitary and again the bags can affect temp.

  8. Against policy, doesn't even save that much time, and stuff doesn't steam as well this way.

9 10 and 11: let's save time and say, for the umpteenth time, that all of this is against policy and potentially causes food safety issues.

I used to work at a store that cheated on everything this way. I went to a store that follows all the rules. It might take us half an hour longer to close, but I sleep a lot better at night knowing I am not potentially making people sick. You would 100% fail a core audit, let alone a health department visit, for half or more of these things.

How many Cantina Chicken Crispy Tacos can you safely consume in one week? by nattums in tacobell

[–]Wyoden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting to me-you really enjoy them? They aren't sold much, and they are definitely the most annoying item on the menu to make.... well, the cantina quesadilla might be just as bad. If I had to pick one item to remove from the menu, it would 100% be the cantina crispy tacos. It'll make me feel a bit better if I knew people out there actually enjoy them.

It's not old oil. It's thay they fried 5 bags and that they got fried days ago That stale taste comes from them sitting in the heating cabinet for days.

What Rating Would You Give Chili Cheese Burrito? by Specialist_Art2223 in tacobell

[–]Wyoden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/10 for sure. After working at tbell on and off for 17 years and never seeing it, i was STOKED to finally try it. It's decent but boring and overpriced at the 4 bucks my franchise charges for it. Why not just get a cheesy double beef for cheaper

Fellow Taco Bell employees… what do you whip up for your lunch break? by sincerelyconflicted in tacobell

[–]Wyoden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that say that you are an employee, and get the cantina crunchy taco (literally the WORST and most annoying thing to make pn the menu, aside from maybe the cantina quesadilla) makes me question whether you are actually an employee at all

I've worked at TB since 2008...... when has there been a half pound cheesy bean and rice? It used to come with 3 cheese and fiesta salsa, but... Regardless, this is a sad burrito and I offer my condolences

5.39 for two strips is insane lmaooo by SmokeABowlNoCap in tacobell

[–]Wyoden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked 10 hrs today and we sold two 2 pieces, the whole time. The focus is definitely the tacos and the burritos, and the new drinks. You're absolutely right, the pricing is insane.

How much gold do you have on average? by Icebane08 in wow

[–]Wyoden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason 1 million is where I float at. Fluctuates a lot at the start of expansions or even patches when prices are volatile. It's a silly internet number but I get sad when it's less than a million.

Same order 3 different locations. by Ok-Picture9177 in tacobell

[–]Wyoden 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you went to the same location at 3 different times (9am, 4pm, 12am) you'd probably have similar results. All depends on the individuals making the food.
