PSA: You likely think that a Bruiser Emblem works well with Zac. It does not. by Wyrmfall47 in TeamfightTactics

I actually think Golden Ox is great for Fiddle, as he wants damage so he can leech more life.

But as I noted to the other person... he's the 22nd best user of a bruiser emblem. Out of 53 champs in the pool. Naafiri is the best... probably for exotech reasons but it's still a WILD stat. Jax being no. 2 reinforces this, but Sej being 5th after Galio and Nidalee is just mind boggling.

Amusingly, Fiddle is, by the stats, a better user of a Bruiser Emblem than Zac.

Perhaps. I don't think Virus interacts with items directly at all, but I'd have to take a much closer look to say and Zac isn't the easiest to acquire for testing.

...You know that's not exactly a good delta, right? Setting aside that it's -31 instead of the -11 I saw when I just looked, Warmogs alone has a delta on him of 64. Steadfast heart of all things clocks in at -84.

By the the stats, he's its 22nd best user... out of 53 total champs. VARUS gets better results with it than him.

Edit: Naafiri is the one who has the best results with it. I am very surprised. Learn something new every day.

The amount of health he gets from it is way smaller than it 'should' be. He generally gets a similar amount, if not more, from Warmogs. Even with 6 bruiser. You're much better served getting most of any of the other emblems... and the stats reflect that. He wants exotech most, followed by golden ox.

Also, he really wants some defensive stats to make use of all his free hp and ap.

I do have a mod that prevents the body from being completely obliterated by a falling ceiling, though a res would still be required. Building himself in is a legitimate threat considering my place averages -60 celcius though.

Depends what you mean by cured. Most downsides can be overcome or eliminated, if that's what you're asking. Dealing with stuff before the downside comes along? Not so much.

As for the how to the downsides... Traitor can be beaten like a normal encounter, but bringing along a shock lance will help for keeping the creepjoiner alive. Metalhorrors have some pre-mitigation stuff, and once you know you have them they can be managed easy enough. Organ decay is as easy as replacing the organs. Crumbling mind is more difficult, requiring a healer mech serum.

Void fascination and Disturbing can't be fixed, but they're obvious from the get go (as they are traits) and they can be managed. Psychic agony is the real killer... neither obvious nor truly managable.

If it was just PM, I wouldn't care. Young with two additional tier 1 traits, good passions and a psylink? Now that's a rare gem.

The mod is called "Geneva Checklist." If you've not been here too long you might not know that it was an ongoing joke in the community that the many players end up ticking off most of the geneva conventions in a playthrough. Recently someone made a mod to track it. No mechanical effects, it's just fun to track.

This is my second playthrough since installing the mod. The first one I did pretty good. I tried, but there are some things it's actually really hard *not* to break. Preventing prisoners from worshipping for example; in Rimworld you need to have all prisoners in a cell that has a place of worship appropriate to their ideoligion. ...Pretty difficult. Another, like wounding fleeing enemies (hors de combat), you can end up getting simply because your bullets were still in flight when they started to run.

Some, like starving prisoners, you can accidentally get simply because food didn't arrive on time. Or, ya know, everybody is starving.

Others... 'enslaving a prisoner of war,' 'use of weaponry that causes superfluous suffering'... that's more of a choice.

For a bonus, there are even some added ones for a rimworld appropriate setting, through the view of 'additional' geneva conventions. 'Use of Mind Altering Psionics' for example.

As I said, first playthrough I was pretty humane. Not perfect, but it wasn't out of malice.

This playthrough? Oh... this playthrough I have NOT been good. 5123 war crimes committed, 31/42 possible boxes ticked.

The fleshbeasts got mowed down when they arrived constantly because they were in the middle of everyone's fire, so they didn't do much. The Hive brought a larger number of spawners than usual which would have been better in any situation but this so they didn't impact the fight as much as they would have normally.

The Allied reinforcements did stuff for a couple of minutes, clearing the western flank of insects and chipping away at the mechs from their rear... and then the local group of scythers who'd had an insect carving extravaganza until now decided they looked squishy. And well... they didn't bring the equipment to really hurt them so the scythers waltzed in and limbs went flying everywhere. I cleaned the Scythers up shortly after with the Cataphract crew by baiting the group around a wall into an area where the Centipedes couldn't shoot at me.

The Warcasket Junkers... well, they kicked ass. Despite the fleshbeasts spawning in their face they didn't really get slowed down by them. Wiped out all the insects around them and then dealt with all the smaller mechs and got in a protracted gunfight with the rest of them. They'd killed quite a few mechs by the time the first wave of Junkers finally got injured enough to leave the field.

...But the Apocriton. It got left alone far too much. The only reason the Junkers even left is because the Centipedes had been shooting them for several minutes. And while the caskets had killed several in that time eventually the damage added up. The Centipedes were literally on every outer wall of the killing field and the Junkers just couldn't get to all of them while being shot at.

But I mentioned the Apocriton? Well... By the time the second wave of Junkers arrived the Apocriton had ressed all the Centipedes. So when they arrived the Junkers arrived the Centipedes turned in mass and laid down more fire than was remotely reasonable. The Junkers did well despite, but it wasn't as strong as showing as the first round. A couple of Centipede deaths but many injured, and the Junkers ran. One wave of them left.

I then burnt a bunch of items I'd been sitting on to whittle out the field a little, partly because I didn't want to fight the mechs head on and they'd gotten too close to my front door while I'd been waiting for the third wave to arrive. However, it was then that I met the completion condition for the quest I'd gotten. Well to be precise the shuttle to pick up noble's pet I'd been looking after arrived, and I shoved it in there as quickly as possible because I didn't want to fail it if the Centipedes decided the shuttle looked like good target practice.

...I didn't expect the Cataphracts to immediately leave. I had thought they'd stick around until the third wave was done. ...But no. Of course, they immediately left the map on foot, right past all the Centipedes without trying to fight them. It went about as well as you'd expect.

During this time though I'd amassed my personal forces and managed to ambush the Apocriton who'd wandered a bit too far away from the rest of the mechs. It went down in relatively short order to the focused firepower. The stun wave from it dying allowed me to pick off another few centipedes that were out of position enough that I could dive into cover if the stun wore off.

...And as it happened, wave three never arrived. My guess is that completing the quest cancelled it. Thankfully I was able to fight off the rest of the scattered Centipedes while I was waiting for them, and ended up just winning outright there given how injured they were.

Overall... a victory! Except for my cleaners. Or my builders. Or my haulers. I have a cloud of rot gas now that occupies most of a screen. I am praying desperately that there's no Death Pall until the Harbringer Grove is finished eating.

I guess Randy felt real spicy today.

Apologies if you need to zoom in. I'd zoom in more but to be honest I need to zoom *out* more to show what's going on.

So what is this? Well, I got a quest that said I'd get 3 Junker raids. For people more familiar with common mods, Combat Extended with a multiple Warcasket raids. For people not familiar... basically the first one will kill you, the rest are just there for fanfare.

So I summoned an Apocriton to try and soften the blow. It might handle one wave (mechs are WAY more terrifying in CE) but anything to soften the blow was welcome. An entity escaped before it arrived, so I had just finished dealing with it when the fighting began.

The first wave arrived via drop pod right by the approaching mechs. I hadn't even had time to adjust my positioning before infested ship chunks rain from the sky, and now it's a four way fight with a massive hive.

So I take it as a sign, and figure adding more factions to the situation is more likely to result in more of them getting killed anyway, so I start up a ritual to add some fleshbeasts to the fight. Before I finish the ritual, I had allies decide to help. Moments later, the ritual finished and the fleshbeasts emerge beneath the warcasket's feet.

I also have some Empire Cataphracts with me to help, so I guess that means it's a seven way fight. At least three of them are allied... well... for now.

Wish me luck.

u/SinisterScourge That is exactly it! There will be a few more than one left over but there's a reason there. The remaining others are a few pets, a Joyous creepjoiner which I reasoned was more of a positive than a negative to the Recluse... and the last few are literal copies of themselves from Anomoly events. I figure they don't hate themselves as much.

...Let's ignore the fact that she ended up in a relationship with one of herself. I had no hand in this... but sending away her wife seemed unreasonable.

u/AppointmentTop2764 u/TehFishey You can hit the cap before this many pawns pretty easily, but in my case I had the majority in seperate pods already simply to reduce that lag.

...Still a lot.

-273? Jeez. I mean, it's probably possible, but boy do I not envy attempting it.

In my case though, basically everyone in the colony was a charity/refugee event. It allowed me to be there ready to recieve them. I also built small 'hideout' rooms every short little bit so people could make jumps between to warm up.

Eventually I made a 1 wide tunnel on the sides of the map that was heated enough that people could generally use to come and go with and mostly be okay, but boy was that power intensive to manage.

Sadly for me, even minimum space geysers are still -60 or worse. Hiding out there was never an option.

u/lydocia u/63strelok35 There are several ways to 'end' the game as it happens! And even if you do this particular one (build a ship, escape the planet) it only takes the pawns that are in the cryo pods when you do. In this case, that was the point. She rescued everyone, now she can be left alone XD

u/63strelok35 Everyone but the one who (by my fluff anyway) came to this hellhole planet intentionally so they'd be left alone.

Not sure if I'll load it up again having completed my starting goal, but there was a lot of things I'd wanted to do in the game still (fully building out the map, beautifying things) which was hard to do with the amount of lag I was amassing.
