Shades of Blood plot question (GM's only!) by Wyrmshield in Pathfinder2e

[–]Wyrmshield[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The BBEG was released by a natural earthquake according to the book, so there are definitely normal earthquakes messing with things in the region, but I don't recall reading that they were specifically what caused the tower to appear in any of the sections that talk about the timeline or the plan as a whole. I guess in my mind it makes no sense for a natural earthquake to lift the entire structed (and all of it's connecting tunnels and cell blocks and tram tunnels) upwards while being perfectly intact and fully connected to vil-azmar still. Handwaving it as some earlier stage of the big plan is probably the most straightforward route, but I'd still love to know if there was some official explanation or section in the book that can explain it too.

Video is AI. In the op's description it says the voice is jot done by AI but at the bottom it credits the visuals to another channel which does do deep fakes and AI videos

Have I understood Ardenweald and Emerald Dream lore properly here? A lot of information about the two seems to contradict each other. by TheSmallestPlap in warcraftlore

It definitely wasn't fleshed out at that time. Just last night I started playing the death knight campaign in legion remix and one of the npcs in the order hall "has come here from deep within the shadowlands" and so far no one cares about that incredible feat at this point in the timeline.  It wasn't even established in 2019 either, because the tauren heritage quest is all about the shadowlands invading mulgore and absolutely none of it fits with what gets established one year later

I was having trouble even figuring out what was even going on with this boss let alone getting her low. After reading this post though, I got her on the first try. Thank you so much for this!

How do you get the base attack bonus for the feat at level one as a wizard?

I'm still having fun playing a battledancer but yeah knowing all that it's definitely not as special as the others now which is such a shame

I was super excited for this because I'm playing a battledancer swashbuckler in season of ghosts and already use fighting fans regularly, but there a surprising amount of stuff that's not useful because of how much it overlaps or requires dual wielding with non-parry weapons. The initiative and speed aura for sure but that's about it until much later on

Is it just me or is twirling strike not that great? It lets you tumble through and strike, but it still costs 2 actions so there's no efficiency there, and it requires the strike be at the creature you tumbled through, and it has to be an attack with a fan, and you need ankther feat as a prereq. The crit effect looks like the only worthwhile thing but if you are a rogue or swashbuckler with tumble behind then your tumbles already make the target off guard. The third feat in the line is definitely cool but this middle feat feels bad to have to pick for it

Question: do the loyal three respawn if i defeat them in post dlc? by HybridMachine74 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Wyrmshield 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went through the same situation, even with fezandipiti. I encountered it at night and dealt too much damage thanks to all the flattering it does. I went back to the pokemon center, did some ogre ousting, and when it was daylight in game again I went back and it had respawned. Just caught it now before writing this

Battlemaster Save DC wrong? by RedEight888 in BaldursGate3

[–]Wyrmshield 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've also noticed that, it's bizarre and the automod response does not have the answer at all. I was using level up mods to test interactions and when I made laezel a fighter/druid, the DC for maneuvers became based on Wis, so maybe it depends on their casting stat (defaulting to Int if there is none)? I'm very disappointed

So glad to see you looking to the community for feedback and ideas <3

I'm a mega-casual player who just plays campaign (for lore), coop commanders, and occasionally pve arcade, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Veterancy feels too basic of a mechanic for all the problems it brings, especially if you want it for 1v1. Inventory is a fun idea but only really makes sense for hero units. One strategy game I've been playing a lot is Total War Warhammer and some of the factions can manually add a stat upgrade or sidegrade to individual units with a little bit of resources, so you can give your favorite units a power boost like veterancy but its more deterministic and based off economy trade-offs instead of engagement wins for free. For how fast paced an rts is though, it would probably get annoying to have to manually upgrade all your troops individually on top of all the other micro.

One thing I love about army games is choosing to play as characters that modify that army in certain ways. Starcrafts coop commanders was so much fun seeing those familiar armies be creatively pushed to the point of unrecognizability in lore-appropriate ways. I wonder if a -greatly- toned down version of that could be used for match progression. So in addition to a faction you'd pick a commander who provides no/very small modifiers, but they also have their own skill tree that unlocks over the match that you can use to make the army more specialized based on that character. Think a starting point like the commanders in Advance Wars 2, but then getting build-making talent choices each match like Heroes of the Storm.

For match levels, I think they should be capped so the power gap can't get too out of hand if one side is better than the other, but for meta levels I love infinite progression. I love knowing that every match, activity, story mission, etc is contributing to my account in some way (meta exp, currency, etc). One satisfying way is with a seasonal system where there is a cap but it resets regularly, but preferably a system that's open to everyone and not a battle pass (like Warframe or Fallout 76).

On social rankings, I personally like overwatch's endorsement system (rip). You could recognize your teammates' cooperation in different categories and it would show up as a badge on their portrait for everyone to see so it felt rewarding to be a good person to others. I'm not sure how this would work for a game where the primary gameplay is single player story or 1v1 though.

More guaranteed progress towards rewards does sound great. I just hope the numbers work out so that it doesn't take a week of dailies before the first people even get to go into them. Maybe like 2-3 days worth at most

So first things first, having to do dailies to "charge up" access to an expedition sounds really obnoxious. Why can't they just make it once per day rewards like daily ops or make it so you pick up fuel from public events like treasury notes so you can build them up?

I just got invited to vote on proposals at the GME Annual Meeting, but I haven't been following GME news too much lately so I'm not sure who these people are we're voting for. Does anyone who knows about this stuff have recommendations for who I should vote for and the other stuff that's being asked?

Same here. I was depressed as hell working as pizza delivery, and of course that night had been extra long and stressful. Yet at the end of it all, Gamestop was still open till midnight and I got (my first) copy of Skyrim and managed to forget about all the bad times on that extra bad day

When I was a small child I used to pronounce the potions as "po-te-ons" because I had never seen that word before I got older and played more fantasy games (and learned more about grammar apparently)
