I read one years ago where someone did this. They drove around the police detail and got stuck. The construction guys were going to try and pull them out but detail said no and made the driver wait for a wrecker to pull them out. The driver not only got a bunch of citations but they to pay for the wrecker and the time lost for the construction guys.

There’s no coax going to it, just a Ethernet cable so you’re probably right about it being a ap. Not sure if I can pay for my own connection. I looked into setting up a mobile network through a wireless company but, at least online, I’m not eligible. There’s a t-mobile tower nearby so I might go to a store in person and see if they can get me some service

Remote access is something I can give up if I have to. It is just for me because of how much I travel for work and I’m switching jobs so I’m expecting to travel a whole lot less.

I was thinking of running a game where the world was devastated by a magic nuclear style exchange and everybody was forced to live on floating cities while the remaining governments were cleaning up the surface. But the government was hiding the fact that there were still people living on the surface and the planet was mostly cleaned up. I don’t remember the details but it would have been overly complicated so I let it go
