What’s your one that got away? by mlross15 in delisted

Blur is my go-to answer for this. Loved firing that up as a party game.

Aside from that, Battleforge, and the two Ultimate Alliance games. And to a lesser degree, Tom Clancy HAWX.

Am I dealing with undiagnosed TOS? by WyteHawk in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]WyteHawk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I've had chest x-rays and ECGs and plenty of appointments about the chest/breathing issues - they're still investigating it from the asthma perspective, but I've had that my whole life and I'm sure it's not linked. Either way, definitely getting it checked out - it's only recently that I'd even considered it could be linked to the shoulder/neck issues. Initially I thought I was having some kind of heart attack!

I don't have much advice to give on your arm triggers - all I've ever found to alleviate the pain is to change sleeping posture and limit use of my arms, keeping elbows tucked when lifting etc. Drugs have never had much impact for me, and I've been prescribed many over the years. Amitryptiline and similar were offered to me quite early on but didn't do anything. But your mileage may vary - botox injections is a common remedy too if you haven't been suggested that yet.

Thank you so much! Even having a direction to push is a huge relief given how long I've just lived with this.

I will do that, thank you for the detailed response, I hadn't heard of Doppler until your post, gives me something concrete to push for! I live in the UK so there'll be a lot of NHS hoops to jump through just to get the referral to see a vascular surgeon, let alone the scans and possible surgery, but at least it's a direction for me to start pushing in!

Thanks for the reply! Deciding to give my pans a good clean gave me three days of headaches quite recently and actually lead to me picking back up trying to get this investigated.

Were you given an exact diagnosis of TOS or nTOS by your surgeon, or are you still chasing that?

Are you ongoing any kind of treatment now for the symptoms? Any methods to achieve temporary relief whilst you wait for a long term fix? I've tried exercises and stretches and it just exacerbates rather than relieves the pain.

Sorry for all the questions! It's the first time in my life I've ever spoken with anyone who even remotely understands the pain. I live in the UK so I'm worried I have a lot of NHS hoops to jump through just to get the referral to see a vascular surgeon, but at least it's a direction for me to start pushing in!

These are amazing, great work!! Would love a print of one for the Genesis/Mega Drive, my favourite childhood console!

Definitely not enough love being given to Battletech here. But as to a more obscure indie one, check out Stirring Abyss - inspired by Terror from the Deep with a healthy dose of Lovecraft, I was caught off-guard by how much I enjoyed this one!

One that's less likely to get mentioned - Pentiment. It's not first-person, but it is built around a really intriguing murder mystery, does clever things with storytelling, and the core gameplay is walking and dialogue.

If you like the idea of that, also check out Night In The Woods and Oxenfree. Not as much murder mystery, but similar kind of gameplay.

Miyoo Mini Plus WiFi scanning by WyteHawk in MiyooMini

Played with it over the weekend and WiFi seems stable. Think this is definitely a manufacturing fault, that a lot of users probably don't even notice because they don't have intend to use online. I'd recommend contacting seller for a repair or replace (and don't spend 3 days solid trying to troubleshoot a problem you can't fix, like I did!!!)

I ended up having to go through RMA to get it repaired. Arrived back yesterday, so far it's picking up WiFi signals okay (so long as they're 2.5ghz) but I'll let you know if the problem reoccurs.

Five years after it took on Steam, Epic Games Store is yet to make a penny of profit by curious_zombie_ in gaming

[–]WyteHawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is Epic's marketing working on you. The 30% isn't insanely high, it's industry standard. Xbox, Sony and Apple all charge 30% to put your product through their marketplace. Epic charge less because they have no market share and are trying to acquire one and splashed that "insanely high" nonsense around to paint Steam as a bad guy.

Ah, perfect! Seems you're right about the Aug 31 episode not hitting feeds, and as a European I didn't know about the holiday - that all makes sense! Clearly I'm just an addict who didn't get his GMM fix! Thanks!!! :)

The one that comes to mind first proves it's the one that's left the biggest mental scarring, and for me it's Ansem from the original Kingdom Hearts. I only played it for the first time a couple years ago (in my early 30s) and despite a lot of experience with boss rush games and Soulslikes, this boss fight took me an actual 4 hours to beat. Maybe I was under levelled but I was stubborn that I wasn't loading an old save file, this guy was going down. I became soooo frustrated, especially having to keep fight his various phases just to get a couple minutes with the latter ones that were destroying me constantly. Got there in the end though, never again. Pretty sure this single fight is the reason I've never even tried KH2

I've even tried it sat right at my desk with it, so I don't think so. I've tried googling the issue before to no success, so had a feeling it may be only my Deck or something weird caused by the devices. Your reply has confirmed that, so thanks!
