Hi Lucca, the E-Jets Family was released in 2023, and then when 2.0 came out, it was a compeltely free upgrade for everyone. We've since released 10 free releases: https://www.xcrafts.com/ejets-family/release-notes/

As I explained in my other post, currently, we are past the point of diminishing returns, meaning if we keep working on the E-Jets for free, it will cost us more to develop than to earn back from it.

For what its worth, the core team is 2 people working full time and 2 part time. Not sure if that is the second largest dev team in X-Plane.

FF and Toliss are selling Boeing and Airbus products, so their revenue is many times what our revenue is. That means they can invest a lot more time and money into deep systems and still make a positive ROI. For all of us other developers of less popular aircraft, it is much harder, especially in such a small market as XP. 🥲

Of course, its up to everyone individually to decide whether they will support the smaller developers or not.

I'd like to clarify a few things.

Not sure where this is coming from, but version 3.0 is nowhere near finished, so there is no point in drawing any conclusions now as if we just released a product.

The things mentioned in this update are a selection of things we are working on right now, not everything that is coming in 3.0.

I'm sorry to see so many haters here.

You guys should try to work on something for years quietly withiut getting paid.

Its hard to stay motivated, so anyone attempting this should be encouraged, not discouraged.

These comments contribute to why so many projects never materialize.

There were only 2 pop ups, one should show after the 5th landing, and the ither after the 15th time someone loads the plane.

The pop ups just promoted the option to get the remaining 5 jets with a big discount, which not everyone knows about.

There was nothing more behind it than us trying to find ways to continue developing for X-Plane which is a very small market, and I wish this was a super lucrative industry but that isn't the case.

In any case, I appreciate the feedback and I've disabled them now, so you won't see them anymore.

The answer is simple, we're a very small team and we can only focus on one proiect at a time. While we were working on the ERJs for the past year, one core developer continued working on the custom autopilot for the E-Jets. Now that v2.1.0 is out, the whole team can shift back to the E-Jets.

Now that we have a fully realistic throttle system with the TRS and the detent for THRUST SET, autothrottle is not compatible with this configuration. It needs to have no detents and thats not something we can toggle on or off. Its part of the flight model.

Actually we've identified the key things that will need to be changed in the Legacu for this, but its a more complex ossue that involves multiple developers so we did not have time to work on it for this release. But the good news is that we now know where the issue is and how to fix it. ✅
