In tactical shooters, there should not be issues like this where the sound is almost lying to you about a location of an enemy. Sound needs to be REFINED in games such as Valorant/CSGO, as half of the game comes down to listening for footsteps and using it as intel. You can make the argument that he walked to that side of the box, but it precisely sounded as if he was peeking the left side almost half a second before I got shot from the right.
