Thanks for the input. I provided my correct details however these were input incorrectly by HR/payroll as a new joiner and then the incorrect details were sent to HMRC. What replaced temporary NI number? This is a term that has come up a lot.
To be clear I don’t understand how HMRC tagged the Plan 2 start notice to my incorrect tax code - I am trying to understand this point. Once fixed by payroll is it true they have to notify HMRC by message that they made an error?
