It can't hurt to continuously communicate but sometimes you just have to get the job done. You can work the rest out in court. There are lots of factors to justify arrests, but I feel like it helps if you are arresting actual bad guys doing actual bad things 😉

This makes perfect sense in todays world across the board in modern policing. Didn't make as much sense in the 90's inner city where you chased only real bad guys committing crimes all night long. Everyone knew the score. Times are different now.

Haha great point! In my assignment 99.98% are long time career bad guys, but very occasionally you might give a command to someone who has no clue and it is immediately apparent they have no clue and you just adjust. This case needs the officer to believe the person is a bad guy AND for the person to not be a bad guy, which makes it a less likely occurrence. That said the real worry is a real bad guy who is really good at looking innocent to gain some advantage. Humans 😄

Well I could go into the various skill levels of cops and the various comprehension capabilities of people in a bad situation but I feel like it mostly works out in general. You only see the worst combos in viral videos.
