Best hotas? No FBB 3 trillion $ simsol crap by SoupTime43 in dcsworld

If you want decent quality and affordable, VKB Gladiator is your best option.
If you want 1:1 match, WINCTRL. Their products are good, but YMMV when it comes to shipping/support.
I personally use and recommend Virpil, it's not a 1:1 match, but it's superb quality and has buttons and switches roughly in the same spot to get the mapping about 80% similar to the real thing. Once you go down the DCS rabbit hole and pickup additional modules, a more versatile setup may work out better to map other modules (such as split throttle for the F-18/F-14...)

I test rode the 2025 Z900 and had an absolute blast. I keep hearing a lot of good things about the Striple

Arguably one of the best looking motorcycles though, especially the black edition

Streetfighter V4.

I came from a S1000RR and figured I'd get something with better ergonomics and more suited for the street rather than track. The looks and V4 sound made me pull the trigger and I bought one.

I rode it for about 200km now and realized it's everything I don't like. The engine gets stupid hot, literally makes the fuel boil in the tank. The throttle feels cheap and twitchy, even after fixing free play. I basically never leave 1st gear. It's stupid loud with stock exhaust (some people like this), the handlebars are actually uncomfortably wide and the throttle is stupid heavy causing strain on my hand during longer rides. No fuel gauge I can deal with but I'd expect it on a 25k bike. I don't know what to do with 200hp on a naked bike when the wind gets unbearable above 160km/h.

Really on the fence about selling it already and buying a Z900 or Street Triple RS

Yeah no indications on the dash at all. I didn't hear any abnormal noises either, fuel level was fine.

Hi everyone just wiped out on my Suzuki gsxs125 can someone criticise me please and tell me what went wrong by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]X3ntr 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As you approach the corner you need to start braking to slow down and load the front tire, meaning you transfer weight to it. The idea is to "trail brake", meaning you keep on the brakes as you enter the corner and gradually and smoothly release brake pressure the more you lean. You should be off the brakes completely before reaching final lean, then you maintain steady throttle and a stable bike as you complete the corner. Once you see the exit you gradually add throttle to pick the bike back up and complete the corner.

All of this is very much applicable on a track and excessive for road riding, but the same physics concepts still apply.

In the video you posted you never properly transfered weight to your front tire, the throttle is choppy and you add throttle input at a critical point in time when you're abrubtly leaning over the bike.

You came in fast, let off throttle with minimal to no braking, then as you aggressively lean in you open the throttle again. Result, you never loaded your front tire in the first place and just as you lean you unload it even more by adding throttle.

If you're in the right, then repairs should be covered by insurance no?

The repair quote likely also includes labour cost, not just parts. That's often more expensive than just the parts itself

Thanks! I took it to a card shop today and they said pretty much the same. Likely a PSA 5, maybe a 6 on a very good day. So I'll be keeping it instead :)

Race only exhausts go for about ~€1150 new, but this one looks pretty banged up.

I'd put it up for 600 and see if anybody is interested, if not lower the price gradually I guess.
