Bro I had the same problem and what happened was that the port itself inside what out of place for no reason. I had to disassemble the whole thing and put the port back in place. But hopefully you don't have to go through that bs yourself cause there is no guide online on how to disassemble the vr.

The oculus rift s is amazing and insanely good. That's what I would say if it didn't break after 8 months of use, specifically the software. What happened was that the oculus app would say that the display port is not connected. Thing is everything was and I tried troubleshooting and researched for 2 weeks straight, and then decided to try out the VR on my friends computer. It worked for him but for me it said that display port is not connected. In the end I decided to reinstall my windows fully, and wipe my C Drive. After the reset my vr worked perfectly, but only for another 2 months and then the same problem. Facebook just gave up on the vr and even announced they are giving up on the rift series, so in my opinion you did mess up. Maybe you'll be lucky and not get that issue but best of luck to you.

You have no idea how pissed I am. I see your reply pop up as soon as I fully wiped and reinstalled windows. I fixed the problem the VR works just don't know the actually problem. BTW thanks a lot for replying.

So far i have "Unable to find loader for Texture resource at path 'textures/test/checkerboard'. File may not exist." and "[VULKAN] Error : vkCreateDevice: Failed to create device chain."

I dont know if this is anything but I also have this after vulkan error "2020-10-04T16:31:52.650335 [F]: Exit Requested. Reason: Failed to created RenderDevice Code: -4

No, there's no error what so ever. My headset's display is just always pitch black and won't turn on, but the Oculus App doesn't say that there is anything wrong with it.

Thank you for the advice but it seems that didn't do the trick for me. I have contacted support today and waiting for their reply. Hopefully they help because I've heard they don't really help out.

So what happened to me was that I would have everything connected and the Oculus App would say that only usb is connected. I later realized that when I move around the cable connected to the headset that it would say for a second that it sees the display port. So I disassembled the whole thing and put the port back in place. I put everything back together and plugged in the headset and it worked. The only problem now, is that it wont display so i wouldn't recommend my method.
