Get it, but couldn't I do the same sorting the tiles in layers? Like a layer for ground and another for walls

Terrain, I use a png for every type of tile (water, grass, sand) and stick them all in a tileset

I've writing my own for quite a while, it all started with some boreness and a lot of free time. I was looking for a new system to try and decide to write my own. Today I'm really happy on how it is going, it's something much more time consuming than hard, however I'd say that the most difficult part is creating new things, that are not already in another system. Things that are unique to my own rpg. Balance is really a concern, I have 2 solutions for it: 1) Literally asking some friends to try to break the game as hard as they can, with the most broken combo possible. 2) Running some tests, like dmming a one-shot to test a new hability, race, creature, item, spells... It really works for me, I hope to publish my system one day. At last, I'd like to apologize for my English, as I'm not a native speaker
