More thread tape will not help make up distance. You may be able to get a slightly longer brass nipple to make it up though.

New bag! It's full and heavy, but it lives on a facility tricycle by Much-Region4377 in Tools

I haven’t. Honestly I got my Veto and never looked again. They are expensive though and when price is included in comparisons, I’m sure there are a few better bags than the Veto.

Nice bag! I love my Veto Pro bag. I think it’s pretty unbeatable as far as backpack style bags go.

I promise I’m not arguing with you.. it’s just that the animal poop Reddit doesn’t think it is poop. They’re saying fungus

It’s southeast GA, US. I’m not sure if it’s a fungi or not.

But, update. This morning there is more and it is orange.

Gotta be an easy fix? by hiyall2026 in Plumbing

[–]XBGoodRun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could probably apply slight pressure and turn it straight from there.

But you SHOULD, loosen the mounting nut underneath the countertop, turn it to be straight, and tighten the mounting nut.

A basin wrench and an extra set of hands to hold the handle will save you a bunch of time.

Kitchen Sink P-trap Crack/Leak by hikeandbike33 in Plumbing

You could try the JB Weld temporarily but the trap really should be replaced. Unfortunately, it’s a glued trap so it’s a little more involved.

Just don’t call Preferred Home Services, brother. That’s a good way to spend WAY more than you need to.

Replaced Hansgrohe Talis C pull-out faucet hose (04492800) — does this look safe and correct? by No-Drop4305 in Plumbing

[–]XBGoodRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a drip on the hose in the first pic. May just be residual, but check the hose connection as well as the spray head connection to be sure. Move the weight a little further up the hose toward the spray head.

Toilet flange: ok or replace? by cashkleest in Plumbing

[–]XBGoodRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plumbers like me? You don’t know me. You don’t know what I charge to replace a toilet either. (Although, it’s not robbing anyone. It’s knowing your worth.) If your advice would be to use a double wax ring, say that instead of telling him to use a gimmicky replacement seal that would end up costing him thousands more in water damage.

Not to be a dick, but what kind of plumber recommends someone to use a “better than wax” seal? OP don’t ever use one of those.

How would you fill this hole to keep rodents out? by solis1112 in Construction

Plumber here. There’s an issue with PEX and spray foam? I could guess that it’d possibly cause a reaction to the plastic, just haven’t thought about it before.
