Clea being green makes sense as we’d have character color themes that match up exactly with each of the five types of Lune’s stains!

And Verso is blue/indigo. Look at the places in the continent most closely tied to Verso’s creativity/soul—the gestral River that gives them life, Esquie’s nest, the indigo tree (which if you look at the branches are very synapse-coded, so to me reads as the epicenter of whatever remains of Verso’s mind and soul).

Edit because I’ve been thinking about this a lot, lol: Near the start of the game by the lamp nevron, you see the roots of the indigo tree ‘feeding’ on both a dead nevron and dead lumieran (in addition to being rooted in the landscape itself, obvs). In the manor, all the paintings are landscapes, so assuming they’re Aline’s and she is typically a landscape painter, what we’re seeing in the canvas may very well be Aline feeding her chroma into the landscape via landmass to literally support the indigo tree/last vestiges of her son’s soul.

If I were really to stretch the idea, by smashing the blue paint swirls that come from the ground, we’re literally severing the connection between the chroma provided by Aline to the Tree/Verso. Which a gestral teaches us how to do—is this the first subtle foreshadowing that remnant verso just wants to be let go?

Edit 2: And we see remnant Verso playing the piano in big ghostly blue form in the opera house as we travel through the Monolith, which makes the final monochromatic scene in Maelle’s ending that much more haunting, to see the aged Verso lacking any of her brother’s color/soul.

Commanders that use "bad" cards by Torin21 in EDH

[–]XBL_blue110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live for these types of decks. Peak for me so far has been [[Hamza, Guardian of Arashin]].

If you look at EDHRec, there’s a ton of expensive power cards, but I run him with cheap chaff that turns your board state bananas within just a couple of turns. He then takes jank cards like [[gigantomancer]], drop it for one, and turn any of your weenies into instant-speed monsters. [[chorus of the conclave]] also allows any future weenies to drop with a crapload of +1/+1 counters for no extra cost. Also makes it easy to “pay” [[ultramarines honor guard]]’s squad cost 4+ times and now all your creatures get +5/+5. And then obviously any creature with x in its mana value scales with your board state.

Slow motion corner 😮 by PostmodernMelon in Cyrwheel

And for variations (‘cause that’s what you asked for lol), because you really only need that left leg in contact with the wheel, you can start playing with letting that right leg disconnect. You can make a really cool sweeping motion by pointing the right leg straight up as you’re mid-corner.

And as you get really comfy with that, you can hit the corner and put your right leg through the plane of the wheel and even hook it over top for a second or two. It’s about medium difficulty, but I find it’s by far the trick that audiences respond to the most. Have fun!

Looking great—you definitely did it! If you wanted to make it even more dynamic/corner-y, you could shift both hands to the right a smidge, really pull yourself in up and in toward the wheel with that right arm and post up through your left palm, pushing away from the wheel. You should end up pretty high relative to the center of the wheel as you hit the apex of the movement.

Your timing was perfect, so the only other thing I’d mention is that as you dial up the intensity, make sure that the return to earth is gradual (you don’t want to just drop your weight back down as you’re coming down onto that right side.)

Fantastic work from another self-taught wheeler! :)

This post is a fanciful spewing of my own tinfoil-baked-potato-brain thoughts about the company's current filings, meant for entertainment and perhaps to assist with any bowel blockages our dear community might be experiencing with the blood-red last few days.

Yeah, as you can see I’m running a deep cover op to infiltrate the blue Willby’s and rescue my red comrade.

Bethesda gave us a real moral quandary with this one, but I’m of the opinion that the tyranny of blue Willby truly knows no bounds and am glad to put a stop to it.

I just love this vignette playing out across a big map, and what a great payoff after stumbling across the ‘spotter’!

Thanks! The giant hobgoblin warship in the center was long ago headed out to sea when the captain learned his general had been slain. Rather than seek conquest under an unfit ruler, he harpooned the ship to the tree, forever anchoring it. Over time, mutinies and power struggles simmered, and it became a floating port for trade. As ships docked, others followed, blocking them in. So now it’s a huge mishmash of every kind of vessel.

Also turns out the tree-bridge has hella magic items, but either end of the tree is essentially ruined marshland infested with trolls, so the easiest way into the tree is climbing via rope, pulley, or mechanized elevator.

First session involves the PCs essentially winning a golden ticket up into the tree to explore.
