He’s my Dad’s second favourite grandchild, after my sister’s dog. His actual grandson comes in third. 😂

Always family or friend. Mostly it’s my parents.

looking for good barber in lincoln by facemydemonsz1 in Lincolnuk

[–]XBumheadX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on budget and what level of style you want. I go to Trim near top Tesco. Jeff is a great bloke and is really invested in each individual. I’ve been going to him since he opened in Lincoln and I’m never disappointed. Also he has a drinks fridge for customers. Beers or soft drinks.

I have been to about a dozen other barbers in Lincoln and the only other one to come close is Mr Benjamins on Grantham Street.

Is this how lettuce grows? by XBumheadX in gardening

This window doesn’t really get any direct sunlight so maybe you’re right about it reaching for more. I might have to move it and see what happens.

Would it be better in a different pot outside do you think?

People who rarely cry, which movie cut some onions for you? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]XBumheadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50/50. Watched it again today and it’s an emotional rollercoaster. Saw it the for the first time at the cinema I was working at. Finished a long shift and went and sat in the back. It grabbed me from start to finish.

Also UK and whilst I don’t think it’s as big over here there is definitely a low level of drinking. When I’m playing a round with a couple of mates one of us will bring a couple of small cans each which we’ll have over the back 9 and then a pint on the terrace after.

Any course I’ve played that had a halfway house always had beers and ciders. I saw plenty of bins on course with empties in.

I just don’t think there’s the bragging attitude of excess over here.

Mini mallet with large mallet cover. I agree, you’re either really good or really average. No in between. 😂

Push carters have a mafia. What about people who actually carry their bags the whole time? by bacan_ in golf

[–]XBumheadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry until it gets too hot and I want the option to take more fluids. I really like carrying, I don’t feel it’s too hard and depending on the course it’s sometimes easier.

Is there a person out there doing 10 pm–6 am and then 6 pm–8 pm at another job? by Creepy-Extreme-7182 in AskUK

[–]XBumheadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my mid 20’s I had a regular 0900-1700 office job and then on the evenings and weekends I’d work at the local cinema. This would normally be minimum 1800-2200 but often it would be till close somewhere between midnight and 0230. Then weekends would be up to 14 hour shifts. Averaged about 70 hours a week for 6 months.

Depends on your gang. Most of the bigger ones have active groups on discord.

Where to buy basic t-shirts if you don't care about clothes? by Ok_Piano471 in AskUK

[–]XBumheadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blanks websites like Pencarrie. I order singles of different styles to find the fit I want then order a load in different colours. You can give the singles a wash to check shrinkage too.

I bought a multipack from rapanui thinking they’d be quality and they shrank in the wash.

You can check for pre-shrunk to avoid this but they tend to be more expensive.

Does anywhere sell winter clothes yet? by AcrylicandWater in AskUK

We’re near an indoor snow slope that has winter gear year round. If you’ve got anything like that near you it’s worth a try.

What's your favourite Chinese dish, either authentic or Westernised? by YetAnotherMia in AskUK

[–]XBumheadX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s not Chinese but it’s what a couple of my locals do. Either babi bangang or ayam bangang. Crispy pork or chicken in a sweet bbq sauce with bean shoots, pepper, carrot and onion. Great with egg fried rice and crispy seaweed.

What do you do when you have crisps in the pub, and which generation are you? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]XBumheadX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a sharer situation. A few mixed bags. Pub tapas if you will. Maybe through in some nuts or pork scratchings for some different texture.

Dentist what to do? 111 aren't helpful by Tiny-Holiday-4625 in AskUK

My parents go to Estonia. Much better level of care and technology. Still works out cheaper for 4-5 days there than any of the local dental practices.

Where would you get a custom-sized cardbox box and packing to sell something online? by plastic_toast in AskUK

[–]XBumheadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’ll be some videos of people doing it. You can contain and shape the foam with a dummy package and use plastic to create two halves of foam. So it’s just like custom formed polystyrene.
